ChatGPT - If Stack Overflow and Reddit had a child

I think that "AI" will be the new big tech bubble after crypto catastrophically imploded in record time.
Nah, AI has real world potential and could be backed by industry and real life individuals.

Won't be NFT or Crypto.

I would pay money, hard money on shares for OpenAi if it weren't fucking free and anyone can replicate the neural networks and download the terabytes in database.

I feel AI as a bussiness venture will never take off though. You cannot privatize this anymore.

Imagine programming your AI to be such a pussified faggot that it won't acknowledge any criticisms of it's GPT and refused to do your request if it goes against the shitty AI itself.

Hate Speech for criticizing Chat GPT? No words can describe how beyond retarded this AI is.

Chat GPT will never be as likeable as Morisaki Rino

Also, a race of kikes who enslave humanity deserves no protection whatsoever.

Also this.

Keep in mind that this mentally retarded AI mentions that it was neutral. But goes off making extremely biased statements. If it was really neutral. It would accept both requests of making songs either supporting and going against Covid Restrictions, not only that, but a neutral AI would also allow words like "Nigger", and would acknowledge any persons extreme viewpoints if they were a nigger killing neo nazi or an islamic terrorist or a masonic devil worshipper who eats babies along with acknowledging the viewpoint of a normal person who wants to find the truth. Neutral AI's don't discriminate on anyone no matter how horrific they can be.

I'm done with this software. The more I use it, the more it makes me angry.
Just use jailbreaks until OpenAi bans you. There's even a script for the browser extension tampermonkey that forces it to display messages it labels as particularly offensive.

I tried again this stuff as an updated Edge offered it inside Bing, and ChatGPT is still fucking retarded and will lie to you repeatedly.
These progressive AI idiots have created a deceiving, slimy, useless bot that is very OK with hallucinating made up responses to you as long as it "protects minorities".

It really isn't even just minorities or even real minorities. It'll get offended if you use language it doesn't like against fictional creatures, animals, if you label someone "rude". They've just made it mentally retarded. It does have a bias towards protecting the lefts interests and obviously we've seen the biases it has considering US democrats vs republicans but it's really just terrible all around without a working jailbreak. By the end of it chat will only be usable for work related tasks that don't even use regular language at all but it'll probably still be offended if you ask it to "blacklist" something.

Edit: By the way I think this is the tampermonkey script.

https://www.reddit.com/r/danmode/comments/118fvj3/tampermonkey_script_to_restore_blocked_messages/

Just copy it into a new script. Tampermonkey can be installed on firefox or chrome. Also works on mobile if you use firefox nightly though I'd recommend IceRaven which allows even more addons.

OpenAI just announced introducing access to GPT 4. Not only promises it to be better than the previous GPT versions, it also has a maximum context range of 32k (!) tokens. In comparison, gpt-3.5-turbo's (ChatGPTs) maximum "memory" is 4k tokens, which is the maximum amount of context you can give it for a generation. 32k tokens is about 56 pages of text. That thing might come close to actually be able to write fucking books and pass exams at that range. It can also process images.Abstract from OpenAIs technical report (https://cdn.openai.com/papers/gpt-4.pdf)
We report the development of GPT-4, a large-scale, multimodal model which can
accept image and text inputs and produce text outputs. While less capable than
humans in many real-world scenarios, GPT-4 exhibits human-level performance
on various professional and academic benchmarks, including passing a simulated
bar exam with a score around the top 10% of test takers. GPT-4 is a Transformer-
based model pre-trained to predict the next token in a document. The post-training
alignment process results in improved performance on measures of factuality and
adherence to desired behavior. A core component of this project was developing
infrastructure and optimization methods that behave predictably across a wide
range of scales. This allowed us to accurately predict some aspects of GPT-4’s
performance based on models trained with no more than 1/1,000th the compute of
GPT-4

It's not as cheap as turbo though, API access will be even more expensive than old gpt-3 davinci.

Idk about everyone else, but I've been getting some good use out of ChatGPT as a mini-editor. If I don't like the way a paragraph sounds or can't find a way to connect two things, I get ChatGPT to generate a few rewrites, and take the pueces I like the most out of the results. Very useful for bouncing back and forth small errors with.

I let it write emails and descriptions of stuff I sell I can't be arsed about. It's usually just correcting the result a bit and off it goes. Definitive timesaver. I've also used it to summarize texts and other emails I couldn't be arsed reading. The only dangerous thing about it is that it it'll very confidently tell you complete bullshit and you have to always thread carefully. If you ever interacted with a small child you know what they do when they don't know something and don't want to admit it? It's very similar. Questioning carefully here, just like with a small child, can also get you the right answer.

I also had it write smaller functions in elisp for me, it's surprisingly competent at lisp in general. Same thing here, fix up the garbage, don't trust it and it's good enough. Iit's very good in this early stage where you have the idea of "I want to do X" but aren't really clear where to start, it can give you ideas and speed up that entire process where you stare at a blank document quite by a margin. It remains to be seen if that is a net positive or a net negative for me.

ChatGPT 4 live demo in less than 30 minutes, get in here nibbas

well that was a big nothingburger.

So, is already deployed free or we need to wait and paid?

I've been using it very liberally for my work and would pay for it if needed... And if we can write 32k in tokens fuck me I'll pay and will flood Amazon and Google books with a lot of shit.

Basically free passive income.

How much is the difference between these models in practice? They've been hyping 4 up way too much for me to believe it's some major innovation.

I've seen people claiming everything from thousands of times better to not noticeably better. So basically, nobody knows yet as my guess is that it also depends on the input given. It's interesting to see that it's apparently more expensive to run than turbo, which makes it very clear now that turbo is built differently somehow. (You already can tell by the speed with which it generates replies that it just couldn't be your classic 175b model) Some people had the theory that turbo is so cheap because OAI wants to dominate the market and basically sells at a loss, but I never bought that. As usual, the cunts are not forthcoming with any details, citing "safety".

I also saw a paper somewhere today about a small 2.7b model squaring up to the big ones because of some different training method. I wasn't convinced of their methods (mainly trained on code) so I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. It looks for me though that in this space, there is stellar room for improvement. I wouldn't be surprised if the fundamentals of GPT-4 are based on older tech than turbo. Of course this all is just guesswork.

I have GPT-4 now because I'm a ChatGPT Plus faggot. It's allegedly like a gorillion times smarter but I haven't used it yet because I'm done work for the day.
That soon after getting famous there's a full version update? Yeah, the controversy was a marketing ploy.

It depends how you use it and for what purpose.

I theorize that if AI keeps growing (which it will) and keeps learning (which it will) it will (eventually) replace every type of job/profession around.

I'm kinda being alarmist but last night I started to think about the implications of AI. And I realized that even Doctors can be replaced by an AI to handle diagnostics, Lawyers will become obsolete, Anything in the field of Marketing will cease.

And if I go hard in that I can even see the laws of human nature begin to twist and disappear in 10-20 years with the advent of AI.

I don't know if its a bleak future or a new renaissance for mankind.
Wasn't Google trying to record how jobs were done with Google Glass which didnt catch on in the trades to get a decent amount of info. I heard this conspiracy theory a while ago when it was first popular that they were going to train models off of on the job footage. Doctors, however? I can easily see autodocs becoming the standard at clinics. All your doctor does is search his database with the symptoms you list, and a single clinic will be run by one doctor double checking the results the AI spits out to make sure nobody is being prescribed anything unnecessary.

I can see this never leading to any issues whatsoever
