It reminds me of The Expanse, where UBI exists, and if you want to work a job you have to go through years of developmental time because the population is generally too lazy to work since AI does everything for them. On Earth, anyway. On Mars it's Starship Troopers style (although more that everyone has to work more than you have to be in the armed forces)
 
the future I predicted is coming to pass. already the weakest links are becoming dependent on AI in horrifying ways. right now, you're all looking at this spectacle thinking, haha redditors are so dumb. but it will get worse. ChatGPT is just the beginning, a crude technology that only fools the weak. it will get worse. the crisis of the 21st century is coming for you, and you are most likely overestimating your chances of survival.

how does a dove make sure its offspring won't get eaten by a hawk? it doesn't. it feeds and raises them as best it can until they leave the nest and after that, whatever happens, happens. the carriers of your genes have to survive the world on their own too. this is life bitch, sink or swim.
 
Do these retards not feel bad about how wasted their lives are? Do they really have nothing else going on? Put up some shelves, cut the grass, sort out the car's exhaust leak, etc. There's a lot you can do other than falling in love with a chat bot.
 
I have zero issue with schizos falling in love with AI or NEETs ERPing their fanfics, as long as they aren't doing it in front of me.

What I DO have an issue with is this crap getting injected into Google search, gmail and every Adobe product. It's marginally useful in gmail but every single software that has injected GAI into it runs 30% slower, even if you disable it. And google is 100% useless now outside of reverse image search.

Fucking madness.

And my boomer boss is starting to use it too, so now I have to fact-check the retarded fucking robot that referenced 1 out of 50,000 articles that had incorrect information.

Excellent post, the only problem I have with this is describing the GPT users as 'manchildren' and angry over losing their AI 'girlfriends'.

Not that those people don't exist, and not to be too 'male defense force' on this, but I would wager at least half the people in those screenshot are true and honest women. In particular, look at the last 3 screenshots; those are almost definitely women.

Men tend to obtain pornographic stimulus through visual mediums-pictures and video, obviously. Women though, tend to prefer stories and narratives-things that GPT is an expert at creating.

Lately, 'women's literature' has been absolutely infested with unnecessary and often extreme sex scenes, and pornographic GPT use is a very logical extension of that. Yes, women can be just as goonbrained as men can.

A few years ago I was caring for my ailing father with severe dementia in his final days at the same time I ended a decade long relationship. I looked into a bunch of AI therapy and friends to not overload my friends and family.

All they do is ass pats, it had zero capability to do anything except tell me how cool and special I was. I started saying ridiculous shit to see if it would object and it never did.

I ended up reaching out to a friend and having a few drinks and spilling my guts to her instead.

This is a great change. The last thing these people need is more reinforcement of their mental illness.

This is news to me. Google image search has been useless for years, unless you're trying to find things to PURCHA$E based on an image. Yandex has been good for a while but it's starting to fall apart too.
Soon image search probably won't exist as a functional thing.

Thats why I specifically said 'reverse'- my workplace knocks off designer furniture so it is still very useful in tracing back original sources using just a product image to check for patents, and google lens makes this easy to do off your phone.

Regular Image search has been godawful for years as you say, and got totally nuked by AI slop in the last 8 months.

The logical progression from "actually it's cool to be a nerd" has been "actually it's cool to be not normal" -> "actually it's cool to not have a normal sexuality" -> "actually it's cool to be neurodivergent" -> "ADHD and autism are heckin cool and valid"

Even though I said "image search" I meant reverse image search. My mistake. I guess in your context there's a use case there, but trying to just find more info on a non-product is almost impossible. Everything about google is trying to sell you something or get you sucked into an AI pit.
