CHAZ/CHOP: Autonomous No Cop Zone and Commune Declared In Seattle - Render unto Warlord Raz what is owed to Warlord Raz

The hilarious part is they originally unanimously passed this shitty head tax. As soon as Amazon said nope, they rescinded it 7-2. So even with a unanimous so-called city "government," the only vote that really counts is Amazon's.
Nah the hilarious part is that there are 2 dumb faggots who don't understand how businesses work in the internet age.

Who's going to clean up all this graffiti? Man, the hippies made a mess.

I think this poster nicely sums up the mentality of CHAZ dwellers:

FUCK WORK

"I have a bachelor's in social work, and that should be enough to understand business to business relationships and run the government."

"Here's Seattle...and here's Seattle after the hippie communists made CHAZ"

"Oh my God..."

If Warlord Raz wasn't there and in charge of security I'd probably agree. But he and his crew are fairly effective at keeping the peace. Instead of a constant clusterfuck of lawlessness and violence it's sporadic.

The real hardliners more or less left a few days after he took over. They came back briefly to try and torch the precinct, but his crew scared 'em off and put out the fire.

That's the irony of the whole Warlord Raz meme. He actually fulfilled an idealized role in the community once the police were kicked out. He's known and liked locally, he's relatively chill to the normies, he had the guns on-hand, and he already had an "organization" around him that he could deploy. He worked with the other armed group (JBGC) and seems content to stay in his security niche instead of taking over the political side. He's the idealized benign authoritarian that socialists and leftists dream of.

Of course it's not sustainable, and of course he descends into minor tyranny and assault when he needs to. Stopping those abuses is the whole point of setting up a systemic policing organization, instead of the ad hoc community consensus version. But the ACAB morons can never acknowledge that.

I think the ultimate downfall will be his memetic popularity. The other organizers got really butt-hurt about people calling him a leader, but if they publicly rely on him at all it will only reinforce the image. Leadership requires power, hierarchical or charismatic, and people naturally associate physical force with command power. Someone will get jealous enough to try and shove Raz aside, especially as they fail to establish any recognized leadership through political consensus.

It could also be a case of abuse/assault that goes too far against another well-known organizer, which would require either an unacceptable level of apology from him, or a purge of his entire group. And then we get to see the real fun of failed communes everywhere: factional infighting.

I look forward in the population in CHAZ turn on each other this coming week. I am still surprised any sizable shooting hasn't occurred yet and hope it just burns out before it becomes a warzone.
It seems that the whole CHAZ thing is fake as shit. Most people don't even live or sleep there and it's just a small minority that stays there permanently.
It's Disneyland for Antifa. They LARP as it's their new autonomous community, they also party a lot but when they're hungry, need to take a dump and/or shower they go home
where they have much better food, their own privacy and it's much more comfortable.

There's a guy on /pol/ who calls himself CHAZANON (username: CHAZANON !!iXPz5KYPXwG) and he lives near CHAZ; he's actually a lefty, hates /pol/ but he also hates the whole fake CHAZ thing.
He goes inside CHAZ, makes a thread on /pol/ and gives updates in real time. So people can ask him questions and even ask him things to do. CHAZANON posts pictures of it.
At first /pol/ were laughing at him and threated him with much disrespect but little by little he got accepted and I dare to say he's /theirlefty/
Also: CHAZANON is there to stay forever on /pol/ but he doesn't know it yet.

/pol/ asked him to take a selfie with Raz which he did.

Edit: The borders are also symbolic. Everybody walks in and out when he wants. So when people get bored or want some real good food they leave CHAZ,
walk a few blocks to find a good restaurant.
Below is a video of 'Warlord' RAZ who just ordered some sushi.

All the good ones either kept going in communist activism for groups like the commies who write the World Socialist Website (which is pretty good for a literal communist website, or at least was) or they got into community organizing in which case they now function as an arm of the Democrat Party trying to advance their revolutionary agenda through it. And I feel sorry for those people because their achievements in the past 15 years include a milquetoast Democrat president who didn't achieve much social justice (other than being worshipped in the media for being black) but sure spent a lot of money blowing up weddings in the Middle East and following an aggressive neocon-approved foreign policy. The revolutionary movement they cultivated for decades in their community organization finally happened, but it took the approval of every major corporation and billionaire to succeed, and their success includes burning down a bunch of neighborhoods where poor people live and vandalizing some statues and monuments.

Arise from this is their dream communist society, the CHAZ, which is now the subject of pure mockery and looks like a right-wing parody of anarchism. Somewhere, one of these boomer revolutionaries has been downing a lot of hard liquor at seeing their life's work end up like this.
"It only looks like a right-wing parody of anarchism because you're viewing it through a right-wing filter bubble"-Some hipster, probably.

I remember it. It was a big deal, as I was really wanting to protest the banks and the bailout. I was too young to go, so I watched the news for it, and was pissed when it fell apart and became a commune for a reason I couldn't figure out.
I can laugh at it now, but at the time I was pissed.
I've heard similar things about the Tea Party. A movement for lower taxes that was ultimately hijacked and turned into a bunch of angry screaming idiots, with people supporting the original ideals being left confused about what happened and why.

None whatsoever. These are children. They don't want to clean up or take care of their toys. That's mommy's job.
Who's going to clean up all this graffiti? Man, the hippies made a mess.
The police should arrest them when they leave/the ones they can identify when this is over, and force them to clean it up and pay for any damage.

You are a rude person, and I hope they don't let you into the Kiwi Hill Autismonous Zone.
A KFAZ would be fairly functional and not much different than a normal neighborhood, except we'd chat about DSP call people autist or sped when they do something dumb.

I see they're using sniper-barricades.

Well even after gunpowder actually. Yeah then more people got killed in specific events. But wars were still 99% dicking around doing all of fick all. I got a few tales told to me about the spanish civil war by people who fought in it and it makes you realize the "imperial guard" from 40k is very much real, and I mean the jaded version fans depict of it.

In the dev diary for "la resistance", the Paradox team in charge of the DLC mentioned how the spanish civil war was so long because for the most part it was just 2 people sitting on opposite mountains shooting at each other without actually managing to hit each other. Now I know HOI4 is not the epitome of realism, but this one statement is ABSOLUTEY 100% TRUE. The spanish civil war elongated so far for 2 key reasons. The first is that spain is mostly one gargantual mesetta surrounded by and filled with mountains, so basically the whole damned country is the maginot line. The second is that no side was willing to concede an inch, and both had a frankly absurd ammount of artillery. So basically it was ww1 tier getting stuck doing nothing for months on end. With most advances being made not by the front lines but by the guerrillas that raided each other's supplies.

So what did most soldiers do while the supply game happened? Well they sat just out of range of enemy artillery, shelling the enemy with their own artillery despite the enemy also being outside of their range, having the snipers battling it out, lookkng out for possible flankers and any developments, and basically doing absolute fucking nothing for months on end until either reinforcements broke the tie or someone ran out of supplies and the other side could push. Most of the war was just spent dicking around on base with absolutely fucking nothing to do.

This even got the soldiers the impression that it felt like both sides had to agree to attack each other before hand. Because usually spotters from either side could tell how the other was doing, so most of the time both sides where very much aware on when and were the enemy would finally attack if they did. Surprise was just not something the frontlines did at all. Which was most famously parodied by Gila on his monologue "is that the enemy?" Where he depicts a soldier calling the enemy to decide when to continue the war as he needs to go do something else for a while:
And then goes on to parody army incompetence in general. Gila btw fought for the republicans during the civil war. He was talking from experience (albeit with obvious exaggeration.)

And that's another thing. The "going to do something else"... is very much real. You see. Shit went so slow than soldiers commonly would just tell their squadmates that they were going to the city to buy cigs and rum and shit. And the mates were like "sure, here's money bring some for me" and the soldier would completely abandon his post, for days at a time, and come back to exactly the same fucking stalemate he left behind. Nothing had even changed.

We actually got a lot of poems, songs, art, comedy, variations on games, etc. Made by soldiers during the war due to how utterly fucking boring it was. And indeed, there is one thing that perfectly illustrates this. Here's a video by lindybeige:
On it he explains why british officers didn't duck in some time periods. Well a similar phenomena was spotted in spain. Let me paint you a mental image: let's say you're a rookie that just got conscripted and sent to the front lines. You're taking it seriously ducking behind cover watching the enemy. The snipers are dueling, the ground trembles with the shots of artillery, you see the land beford you constantly pummeled by enemy shells. Basically ww1 era trench warfare. And you look behind you, and you see a buncha vets doing the rounds with their morning coffee, fully upright, not even trying to cover anything above their waist, having a chat, right behind you fully exposed to the enemy. Well this was what happened the first day of combat one one of my family members. And he was far from the first one to notice it. Quite simply, the war went for so long, and the fronts were so immobile, that some soldiers stopped noticing the artillery and snipers. It wasn't a sign of defiance or morale thing like the british. Their survival instincts didn't kick in because quite simply they just got used to being under heavy fire like that... it just didn't matter anymore. So they didn't even register that they were meant to duck. And after a while it would become the norm for the whole base unless someone got hurt. Because for the most part, much like in that table game from warlord games, snipers were so busy dueling they wouldn't even try to shoot the other soldiers, and artillery had to keep itself out of range anyway so only way it was hitting anyone was by accident if a shell had too much power in it. This is why I say it is just straight up 40k imperial guard shit. You'd imagine having snipers firing all the time, the ground constantly shaking from artillery fire and the background repeatedly exploding into shrapnel is utter hell but people were stuck there for so long many of them just stopped caring altogether. Because they knew so long as both sides had supplies that shit wasn't moving, so why even bother really. It's basically an office job, but noisier.

So yeah point is, you'd think that being stuck in the middle of a ww1 frontline on a guerrilla-warfare driven conflict which is also one of the bloodiest conflicts in history would at least not get boring... you'd be wrong. Reality is just fucking weird sometimes.
Your story just made me very depressed for some reason and I don't know why
I'd like to hear more about the Spanish civil war though.

The American Press Is Destroying Itself
A flurry of newsroom revolts has transformed the American press

"The American Press is destroying itself!" - the article itself is actually pretty decent but still has to get its shitty woke digs in nice and early, presumably to not set off the mob. "tRuMp iS a ClOwN".

Cordon off the area allowing nothing in. Put food and water outside the area and allow people to come out to get food, but not go back in. Cut off water, power, internet, and jam cell phones temporarily. Have EMTs on hand that can be quickly escorted in in case there's medical emergencies (so no one can claim "they shut off cell phones and we couldn't call for medical help!").

90% of them will come out within a few hours, a day at most. At that point, allow the police back in to retake the precinct. There won't be enough people left in the zone to effectively stop the cops. Bodycam absolutely every LEO and NG to prevent gayops.

Using force is what the left want Trump to do so they can paint him as trying to kill civilians/using excessive force/arresting peaceful protesters.

Why? Why even bother? Its clearly collapsing on its own, is being memed to death and beyond, has changed its name several times (but the CHAZ name seems to have stuck, even with the desperate attempt of changing it to CHOP). Its providing hours of material for the Republicans to run constantly come November alongside riot footage and is tied almost entirely to the Democrats.

Why waste money and resources on the matter when you can just show these people to be the petty thugs they are that couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery?

I thought CHAZ disbanded after they ran out of food. Sounds like they're still around.

You could've told me this was a movie or book and I would've believe it.

IRC, Washington state and the rest of the Northwest is majority Red. Republican and hard core conservative. I don't think they're too welcoming to outsiders. Aren't there legitimately racist people living in the sticks?

I imagine if CHAZ fails, all of Washington will go Red for better or worse. They occupy their own space, which is larger than Seattle.

And isn't it funny that these people order out? Where is the money coming from?

CHAZ is pretty much proof that americans are too lazy and uneducated to form their own independent communities. Not even the Zapatista movement would tolerate half of the shit these people are doing.

That’s basically what happens when you live under western luxuries for your entire life. Your survival instincts pretty much become nonexistent.

Why is it that so many hard left types are just all so dirty. Every single thing they do, own, create, is all just dirty and shit. What is it about a political ideology that makes you allergic to personal hygiene and having a clean place to live not covered in trash and graffiti.
The left seeks to eliminate oppressive hierarchies predicated on social constructs. Cleanliness is a social construct.

If you enjoy the feeling of a clean home and freshly washed skin, it's because you've internalized the oppressive capitalist myth of the pristine elite class. Keep getting cucked by the soap magnates. Shower harder.

Why rout the Free Chazistanis when we can instead mobilize the WA National Guard to lay siege to LARPtopia. Tight border, nothing in, nothing out. They want to role play as revolutionaries? Fine, but now that you're "independent" don't expect the US to support your woke little Holy See.

No bullets fired, just starve 'em out. Anyone escaping CHAZ will be arrested on sedition charges. Innocent local folk who wanted no part in Antifastan get their charges dropped while drifters, agitators, and protestors that get caught get the book thrown at them.

You know. If they bitch at you for doing this. You can just tell them to remember 1812 or send them this picture:
Cortes_de_cadiz.jpg

That is the signing of the first spanish constitution (nicknamed "la pepa" due to being signed on the day of saint joseph.) By the "Cortes de Cadiz", a communal people's assembly which acted as city counsel for multiple years while under siege and only ended due to not being needed anymore after they WON the war against THE MOTHERFUCKING NAPOLEONIC EMPIRE. Because as it turned out Cadiz never realy wanted to go communist to begin with anyway but did it out of percieved necessity.

Those in the Wuhan thread might have heard this tale if you read my spoilerized rants but... I love this tale. And I get a boner every time I write about it. Also I didn't get into so much detail in the past about this specific part. So let me please tell you about the commune of cadiz. The only actually successful commune in recorded history.

Some of you might remember how Napoleon invaded spain using a surprise attack after tricking the spanish monarch into letting his armies in. What you may not know is napoleon never managed to lay claim to spain. Not all of it anyway. Much like Asterix and Obelix put it, a small little town in the south of spain resisted the invasion. The name of that town was Cadiz. And while it is small by our time's standards that's because it is a walled town in a very small peninsula off the coast of spain, so it expanded by making new towns all over the area which have now become bigger than it is. Kinda like if it was manhattan and the rest of provincial cadiz was new york, so by the time it wasn't so small at all. In fact in the time's of the phoenicians it was THE LARGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT COMMERCE CENTER IN EUROPE... Nowadays its an impoverished industrial port known for its cultural heritage, tourism, and having people who love to make dad jokes all the time... Things change I guess. Please do consider visiting us sometime. You'll love it here.

SitiodeCadiz.jpg

Anyway, so, point is. When napoleon invaded spain after taking control of madrid a large contingent started gunning it south straight for Cadiz. And indeed ignoring sideways and northern expansion, leaving that to smaller contingent. The reason? Boats. You see. When the combined spanish and french navies fought the brits and lost a small contingent of french boats got stuck on the bay of cadiz, which was blockaded by the bonglanders. They lived off of trading with the town whenever they needed food and just waited there. What napoleon knew is, well there were few boats but they were very big boats and had a LOT of cannons. Cannons which right now he kinda needed, and also was afraid would be captured by the spaniards. So for his army this became the biggest objective after madrid. Siege Cadiz and get the cannons before the spaniards could break his fleet.

Issue for napoleon was, well, the people of Cadiz weren't retarded. They put 2 and 2 together as soon as they heard Napoleon had declared war on Spain. And you see. Cadiz was the biggest boat making port in spain and fed the at the time recently anihilated royal navy, so they sure knew their craft. But it was a town of merchants and boatmakers. The most liberal town in spain with the largest contingent of migrants, from central america and the mediterranean... They were not exactly known for their military prowess. So they figured, either we get our hands on those boats, or we're already gone. And they got to thinking.

The plan they came up with was... hilarious. You see. They could not take on the boats. They did not have enough cannons or ammo at all. The boats could actually siege Cadiz on their own and win. So, they bluffed. They made wooden replica cannons and placed them alongside the real thing all over the bay, and then lifted the chain, closing it, to show that they meant business, shot a few warning shots out of the real thing when the boats got close, and sent an ultimatum: surrender or die. If the french realized what was going on cadiz was already dead. But they were french, so, of course they surrendered. (Ba-dum-tss!) And so, the people of Cadiz took the boats, captured the french soldiers, and started relocating their resources and even dismantling the boats for wood to barricade with before the napoleonic land army could get to them. And so by the time Napoleon's troops managed to get down there they found those pretty cannons filled with ammo placed all over the walls of cadiz alongside some beautiful new barricades made with the boats and a lot of mobiliary and general wood products from the townsfolk. And realized, game was rigged from the start.

And so, from the 5th of February 1810 to the 24th of August 1812, Napoleon's foces laid siege to Cadiz. And during those 2 long years, Cadiz became a commune. With the "Courts of Cadiz" being founded the 24th of february 1810 as depicted in this painting:
El_juramento_de_las_Cortes_de_Cádiz_en_1810.jpg

And, quite simply, Cadiz won. The reason the siege ended was that the Madrid revolutionaries started taking over the capital, sparking further rebelions, and spain came back. Cadiz managed to resist the french occupation and only stopped being a commune voluntarily because being a commune was never their end goal. Just the means to an end. As "La Pepa" showed. La Pepa as said before was the first spanish constituion. It was a constitution which called for a liberal constitutional monarchy to follow the reconstruction of spain. See... Let me tell you why communism worked so well:

It was because it was made by people who didn't like it! Reason they had to seize private property wasn't because "private property should be abolished", they were MERCHANTS then knew damned well why that didn't work. It was because, well quite simply either you ration food properly or we're all starving, and either you take all those materials and use them or the barricades won't hold. They didn't bust people's doors down to seize that property, they used reasoning and cooperation. Something these idiots would't know much about. Why did they turn all business into public businesses? Again. SIEGE. For all intent and purposes everyone in the town was now part of the military, not like they could trade with other towns anyway so capitalism stopped working due to, you know, having the fucking french army at their door. Either people cooperated with the state or they were all dead already, they didn't need to jail no one to get that point through. It was survival. So then why go communist and not fascist? Well multiple reasons.

First of, liberal merchants. The idea of having a single ruler wasn't much to their liking. Secondly, spaniards. If you know how many issues totalitarian monarchs had around here you'd quickly realize, I mean seriously even Franco, the actual fascist dictator, had multiple GENERAL STRIKES declared on him and constantly had to fight off militias... Spaniards don't like autocrats just in general. We're too fractured with every region having its own culture for that to not cause massive issues, and Cadiz may be 1 city but it still knows damned well how that ends. So having an assembly was simply quite sensible. Furthermore, Napoleon. As La Pepa quite aptly shows, the people of Cadiz basically wanted to give napoleon a giant middle finger. There was definitely a "fuck you baguettes" element to copying the system of the french comune, kind of a way of telling french soldiers "look what you've become, you could've done better." Finally, Spain was already having its issues with totalitarian monarchy and internal rebelions at the time. It didn't go full revolution but it was there. So by having an assembly, and promising a constitutional monarchy with a liberal system of values, the courts were reunifying spaniards on the occupied areas, telling them there was a way to come back stronger, and keeping people from getting complacent with napoleon just because "at least he's not a monarch", they were basicallt stroking the flames of rebelion and sure as shit used that for propaganda as they could by getting the word out through covert ways of messaging.

And so, as the assembly was well aware of the issues of communism, they made the rest of the system to try and fix its issues. It was well organized, and maintained. Because they weren't putting ideology into it, just focusing on making it work. Indeed the courts slowly but surely became an early version of congress. And indeed after Cadiz stopped being a commune and was reintegrated into spain that's what they became, the first spanish congress, first as a regional body then as a national one, working alongside the monarch with charges from the rest of the country, just a democratic body, which was later moved to Madrid for logistical reasons. That is until we had the absolutist wars, the actual liberal revolutionaries as an answer to that and later the borbons abolished congress, the constitution and democracy as a whole until they got fucked into remaking it. Basically that whole thing devolved both because the borbons had totalitarian interests (which would've never worked for reasons stated above) and because of external pressures as the rest of europe feared a new spanish napoleon. But you know. Politics. Point is, while the mess that came after was, well, messy, the commune was disbanded peacefuly, and the courts were more than willing to abandon their original form and adopt a more american way of opperating as the legislation allowed, so, it can be said the commune of cadiz was indeed the first and only successful form of communism, it did what it set out to do, and did so exemplary. But of course, only reason it succeeded is that from day 1 its goal was just to survive the french and introduce democratic standards to the spanish system in a reasonable fashion, it was never meant to be a revolution nor an overhaul, just a temporary necessary body.

One concern - hardliners may take people hostage. But not a bad strategy.

You just gotta push them to the park and football field area before cordoning and they won't have anyone to take hostage but themselves.

Why does it look like s if the Chazistans are actually conservatives? I mean you have a developing capitalistic system, weapons can be carried, unwanted are deported. I hope nobody breaks that to them less they commit seppuku to regain their lefty honor

That's not actually an accurate representation of what's happened though. Just an accurate representation of what's seen.

The first few sentences are fairly accurate (somewhat liked locally, had a crew and guns, working with the other gun group). That's about accurate.

We'll set aside his crews assaults, extortion, and "stop& frisk" (the last of which stopped cause of optics, the former just happens off camera now) for the moment.

He isn't content to stay in his security niche and *has* taken over parts of the political side. It's just very low key. He gives speeches about how things should be done, and then low and behold they happen that way. He's just not actively micromanaging shit. He has enough support that he says how things should be done, and his followers make it happen. Basically making him the shadow government of CHAZ (lol).

The abuses are those things mentioned above that were set aside. Those get overlooked by the rest of CHAZ, especially since he's not only low-key taken over the general PR, but has his crew actively engages in PR as well. He's not nearly as benign as those folks think.

But because it'll never devolve into an actual full-fledged oppressive tyranny (won't last long enough, not actually their own nation with their own laws) he will likely be held up as a poster child for benevolent authoritarianism. And who knows, maybe he himself would overall be more benevolent than not in the long term.

But the guy that replaces him most likely won't. And he would be replaced eventually.

Horseshoe theory in practice.

You know what'd be good right now? A Neil Breen imagining of this situation. I want to see him scream "I'M AN AMERICAN DAMN IT. I LOVE THIS COUNTRY".

As for who's funding them - atm it seems to be self-funded for the majority.

There's a few "genuine" organisers tied to this CHAZ shit, but I haven't seen them swanning around CHAZ. So whatever they are feeding to CHAZ, is minimal right now. There are some small business providing services, but it seems to be mostly like a holiday/festival with destruction and stupidity.
