CHAZ/CHOP: Autonomous No Cop Zone and Commune Declared In Seattle - Render unto Warlord Raz what is owed to Warlord Raz

They are when they imagine that it means things like a Constitutional right to big sodas or to walking around without a mask, stuff that any State government ought to have authority over. I have seen conservatives declare state laws on pretty much anything to can imagine to be "unconstitutional" because they found them inconvenient. The Constitution is primarily a document on how the government is to be composed, not a document on personal liberties.
The US constitution (the amendments) is mostly negative liberties saying "The government can not do x y z", the idea behind the American Government is that people should be free to make their own decisions (i.e. big sodas, should I own a gun or not, etc). The mask issue is a bit more tricky because the mask doesn't protect you, it protect others.

Modern MTB tires are grippy as fuck, too; lock the brakes & bikes together, and you've got a very flexible wall.

Update:
I've recently been educated by one of my former riding buddies (on the force in Ybor), regarding the use of bikes by cops for riot-control.

We didn't really get a good look at the technique in Seattle, as there wasn't any large-scale pushback.

The way it works; one line uses the wheels and their legs as four points of contact with the ground. While doing this, the flexibility of the human-bike chain allows them to let through problem rioters, to be grounded and restrained the second & third lines of cops.

He described it as being a white blood cell; they'd fend off the majority, allowing the worst through, while the most persistent types also often find that bike cops wear cleats to lock into their pedals.

Also, that bicycle frames are a lot easier to use OC sprays with, rather than a line of shields.

Just popped into memeology's premiere sorry if this has been said but I didn't realise Luis Marquez was at CHAZ. Look at them chompers.

Nobody gives a shit about strict textual interpretation (not even conservatives, who imagine rights in the Constitution that aren't actually there)

This is some bullshit you just said because there is actually one Supreme Court Justice who actually does care about the text. His name is Clarence Thomas. Read his opinions. I dare you!

On one hand, I feel bad for her, living inside the big, blue, echo box means an entire civic government, from Chief Executive down to dog catcher, collectively, have NO IDEA how to govern effectively and grade performance on irrelevant "feel good" politics that do more harm in practice than good, despite arguably noble motives. I think a lot of these people have been promoted well beyond their competence level due to political purity and how progressive they look in the roles and are in denial (and allowed to be in denial by continuing blind support) that what they FEEL doesn't translate to results at street-level. They don't GET that leadership means you have to spank some of your own people even when you like them, and believe in ruinous PC policy that there are no bad actors on your side, just misunderstood victims and that promising to give kids ice cream and a trophy if they just stop tantruming is the way to go.

She was set up for failure by being "taught" how to lead by a system that fundamentally misunderstands it's own purpose (a leader defers to the most powerless) and denies human nature and basic psychology when this is pointed out. (deescalation is the solution, remove all laws and everyone will "naturally" get along!) .

Jenny Durkan is a technocrat who I'm sure was vying for governor once she was done being mayor. She was a U.S. attorney (which is why it was a big deal that Sawant gave a bunch of rioters her home address, a U.S. attorney was shot dead in his home in Seattle ~20 years ago), so she's too much of a "cop" to placate "progressives".

Durkan also was the least terrible choice in the last election. At this point I think she's trying to salvage her political career, but it's probably too late. I wish she'd just do what needs doing and stop trying to placate the mob. She's not winning reelection anyway.

I also hope she doesn't even try to run for reelection. I'm sure Nikkita Oliver will try for it again, and I don't want her to wind up nominated because the moderate vote got split between Durkan and someone else who isn't batshit.

The only thing the kids did wrong was steal the car, and side swipe the barriers (and maybe joy ride around the park if the white SUV you see in the news clip is the same jeep), I am not saying GTA/car jacking is "just a little crime" but judging by what we know and have seen if a cop pulled them over they would have been arrested and not shot. They would have had a chance to go to court for their crimes instead of being pumped with lead.
Their parents would be grieving over court and possible jail time, where they would have been able to see their son again, and the other wouldn't be worried about if their son will make it or not. If the police were allowed to respond, two families would still have their sons alive and walking. But no these retards had to go and create an occupation zone, that did everything it could to keep the police, EMS, and Fire away. They projected their own inability to control emotions and went around and thought they could play GTA cop, all the while having the arrogance and audacity to say "WE CAN POLICE BETTER", yet what did they do? They killed two teens, they destroy evidence, they were not transparent as they say the police should be, nor were they as transparent as police are. These fuckers need to rot.

Given the current state of law enforcement, they would have gotten off pretty light had the cops been the ones to apprehend them. Most likely, a light punishment would have done nothing to turn their lives around, but at least they would have had a chance.

I can't take any local activists seriously until they address CHOP "security" killing that 16 year old.

A Fox outlet only asked the two clearly biased as fuck owners and none of the others who are suing the city. What the fuck Seattle.

Local Fox affiliates have almost no relationship to Fox News.

Except for when there's no text for him to interpret. Read his opinions in Myriad Genetics and Varsity, they're absolutely hot garbage.

Apparently our resident warlord gave an AR15 to somebody under the age of 18 when he was handing them out

and apparently they created a segregation center and had idiots posing as cops during an 'investigation'

and there are currently two federal lawsuits going on

Quite the interesting clips here

Also surprise surprise:

Class action lawsuit against the city as a result of chaz by businesses that were harmed because of it

Make that two federal lawsuits by said businesses

Even CNN weighed in on it

I would not want to be the mayor right now, or anybody on the city council for that matter

So is this shit dead yet?

Yes. Cops cleared it out yesterday morning, removed the barriers and hauled off all the tents. They currently have a police line keeping the protesters out. Looks like they'll be holding it that way for another day or two.

Once the cops stop holding the perimeter, I'd 100% bet the protesters swarm back in and scream NUH UH YOU DIDN'T WIN and establish CHAZ 2.0. But after the shootings their security vanished, and the have no support. The cops proved they can sweep the place in an hour whenever they want, and they're disinfecting the 3rd precinct now. I doubt they'll want to give it up again.

Wow, so much for that Leftist coup. Couldn't even last a month.

Naw, I highly doubt there will be a 2.0... the only potential benefit was getting Orange Man to play into their dictator fantasies... and now with that off that table, the bourgeois liberals running the show will quietly try their hardest to keep shit from getting out of control again.
Depends, apperinty the Mayor and the Council President hate each other. They both are leftists that support CHAZ/CHOP but after the protest to the mayors house, the Mayor demanded the council president be removed from the council and the council president (Who would take over if the mayor is removed) is trying to get the mayor recalled. The Council President also according to CHOP streamers "have been on the streets everyday supporting us"

Granted politics is a house of cards, and the Council President might be trying the lon con on these useful idiots, but if she gets in power they might feel empowered enough to attempt to re create it.,

Back when I was a dumb teenager I would sometimes hang out and drink with leftists at an abandoned lot that they "owned" which was essentially a micro chaz consisting of a rotting sweatshop building and it's parking area, actual owner of the lot didn't care so long as they didn't cause him lawsuits.

Degeneracy that happened there, especially during night party time (I saw heavy drug use and randoms drunkenly fucking at the community couch, me I was drinking and talking shit with some of them most of the time) aside at least they didn't rely on city utilities, they had a designated poop area with a shovel chained to a tree (bring your own tp) and generator for fuel.

Now admittedly I kinda liked the idea back then, self sustaining little community that everyone collectively takes care of so they have a space to be degenerates at away from the eyes of normies.

But it was all a sham, after a party the place looked like a garbage dump, beer cans, cig butts, empty packs of whatever snacks, used condoms, pair of bloody panties, you name it, it was laying there somewhere.

Oh sure some people who believed in the ideal cleaned up the place in the morning but you know where everyone went after an all nighter of degeneracy? Back home for Mama's lunch and hopefully a shower.

It was all a commie leftist larp circlejerk full of people saying "yah fuck society we here prove we can do it better and more fun" but running back to the normie society to get fed by mom and given allowence by dad, play some vidya and go back to only when it was fun, not when it was time to sweep the sidewalks.

Talked to the site's organizer, he said when he set it up he believed in it, being a place for everyone to hang out and even stay overnight for the price of helping keeping it in semi workable condition, but watching everyone use it for nothing but degeneracy, he lost faith and didn't even want to visit anymore.

Eventually they got more into militant leftism and me and some of my buddies got kicked out for being too right wing (in the early days right wingers were accepted and you could talk ideas and have them debates) I never went back but I hear the place got trashed after they tried to house some "refugees" there.

And what I've seen so far of CHAZ it's the same fking thing but militant leftist from the get go and spread over a way bigger area, also with an "owner" (mayor) who doesn't give a shit unlless it personally affects him.

Sorry to correct you @stupidpieceofshit , but there are now three women in play. Durkan is the idiot mayor who let this 'summer of love' CHAZ/CHOP go down. Councilwoman of district 3 Sawant who I despite and have gone on a few tophat rants in this thread is the one who grandstands and hates Amazon and capitlism and led the march to Durkan's house. In response, Durkan sperged out and demanded that Council President Lorena Gonzalez kick Sawant off the council, and then gave the go ahead for the cops to put an end to CHAZ. In response to that Gonzalez, who isn't exactly buddies with Sawant but sides with her more often than not, politely has told Durkan to fuck herself, and then there was a second march to Drukan's home along with a march to city hall and more people screaming at cops on the outskirts of the fallen nation formerly known as CHOP.

Women. Am I right fellas?

I think you underestimate how salty the protesters are, and how limp-wristed the mayor is. I'd bet my next paycheck the BLM faction will swarm in as soon as the cops move the line, establish a new zone that doesn't include the police precinct, and keep up an annoying protest against the building itself.

The difference will be in its cohesion. Antifa established the original zone, but they've been kicked out. Warlord Raz and the JBGC ran security, but they're hiding after they executed those two teenage black boys. The militant factions are either gone or scared, and in the last 4 days I've only seen BLM, residents, and gawkers in the area or protesting on the line. And they're already parroting the predictable talking point: "CHOP isn't an area, it's an idea". :story:

So the new zone will be a pathetic drawn out protest, to save face. They have to claim they're still defying the city, because they didn't get their big demands met. So they'll probably just set up a handful of tents, form a line outside the precinct building, and keep things up until the cops get another excuse to sweep in and clear them out.

The variables here are the cops' willingness to fight, and the July 4th weekend. Morale in SPD is low, but they did just get a "victory" by taking the precinct back. If the cops become more willing to push out any tent city as soon as they spring up, CHAZ 2.0 will dissolve fast. All they'd need for cover is an order from the mayor, "no temporary structures may be put up for more than 24 hours".

But a long weekend starts tomorrow (people get Friday off since the holiday is on Saturday). People will have more time to go down and protest, it will be very hot, and fireworks will be in play. People still want to protest, and now they'll have more free time to do it, right when the objects of their hatred are standing in the open, "occupying" a symbolic place.

TL;DR Keep an eye on Seattle this weekend. It may be the perfect storm for another big street fight. The fate of CHAZ 2.0 will be decided by Monday.

I seriously don't mean to undermine this well thought out post... but... larpers.

I mean, that's what it comes down to, right? How many of these people are serious and how many are worthless slackers? It's a holiday weekend... they might just stay in middle class BBQ land for the weekend.

I doubt it will happen that close to the precinct again. The park is closed as are most parks still because of the covid19 stuff, only a few have reopened, and anyone who goes there and sets up a tents will get booted for trespassing.

So the new zone will be a pathetic drawn out protest, to save face. They have to claim they're still defying the city, because they didn't get their big demands met. I do think your on to something with saving face, though. Im on lots of Central District fb groups and i have friends posting stuff trying to spin the CHAZ story and establish "facts" and that its all on SPD and Durkan for not magically communicatig with the leaderless, anarchist, atagonist CHOP and somehow keeping everyone safe. Marches are still hapepning, and July 4th offers a perfect foundation to launch into how racist everything in this country is and everything would be better if we were still under English rule and where there was never ever slavery in the 13 colonies right?

TL;DR Keep an eye on Seattle this weekend. It may be the perfect storm for another big street fight.

I actually really hope so.

I agree, but, at the risk of repeating myself yet again, these mobs are performative. The protests are the new middle-class way to spend time, get asspats, meet people, and gain social cred. They're going to keep protesting because protesting is actually cool; it's the last edgy, counter-cultural activity left to them.

Here's the streams from Seattle right now. 30 minutes into a decent protest, cops already pushed them back and made 2 arrests. Current chants: "de-escalate, de-escalate!" "Listen to black women!"

1593753840328.png1593753885963.png

They don't have any movie theaters, concerts, or trashy 1-person plays to go to. They've bought completely into the Covid death scare, so they won't be going to BBQs or fireworks shows. All the ridiculous articles coming out saying "the protests didn't spike Covid" give them cover to do the one thing they want to do: be stupid in the streets, in front of an applauding crowd, on camera. Always on camera.

The lack of the Antifa/JBGC type elements means they won't be able to maintain a full zone any more, but if the police give them any amount of space, they'll set up their shitty commie tents again. People on stream are already brainstorming alternate names.
