Crosspost:

They did screw up the landing but overall it was very good!

The memes write themselves:
A nearly two-hour-long Facebook livestream captioned “Black Femme March takes I-5”, from Diaz Love, ended abruptly. With about 15 seconds left, shouts of “Car!” could be heard as the camera started to shake before screeching tires and an impact could be heard.
Love could not immediately be reached for comment.

Seattle PD released a picture of the driver. Picture is not very clear.
He can't keep getting away with it!

Oh well. You were on the highway.
That spin though the air and landing on the back/ shoulders isn't going to be good. I'd say Diaz is as good as dead. Or she'll want to be.

If you're marching down the fucking highway you deserve to be hit.

Wow, so much for that Leftist coup. Couldn't even last a month.
Couldn't even last a month with overwhelming support by the MSM, some companies giving donations, the literal fucking mayor endorsing them, and browbeating local businesses for free gibs.

It was quite literally the best outcome of something as parasitic as communism, and yet they still fucked it up.
Who knew retarded soundcloud rappers would make bad warlords?

Telling them where and when to reclaim their property would be a good opportunity for the cops to arrest people they've got on video committing crimes.

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Gyrojet

Even though people mock Gyrojet for being a failure reading things like this makes me think the technology had some potential. I'm just not sure what the potential was exactly.

Still, a more or less silent firing weapon that ends up packing the same punch as a .45 ACP must be useful for something. Also, rocket science, materials, and manufacturing have come a long way since the original Gyrojet. Hell, maybe you could fit guidance to them now and make the guided bullets in Runaway a reality. Though a bit of Googling turns up that there was a US project to produce .50 guided bullets that got to the proof of concept stage before being canned.

Forgotten Weapons covers the original Gyrojet here

This guy actually shot some. The Gyrojet shells are about $100 each.

At the very least Gyrojet shells could be a valid part of your tinned food and ammunition portfolio. If the apocalypse doesn't happen you could sell them. Like gold or bitcoin there's a fixed supply of them. Unlike gold or bitcoin the supply is decreasing because people shoot them for Youtube videos. It seems like the rocket fuel inside them is surprisingly stable even when the sealing on the exhaust ports is missing.

Wait, we had the precursor to Space Marine Bolter rounds and we never followed up on it?

Well. See. As with most awesome things in life. Turned out once we tried it... 'twas kinda shite.

Depends; some weapon systems just need to be shelved & matured, like good strong cheese.

The Gyrojet is almost purpose-built for use in zero-G. Back then, fuses with solid-state microprocessors didn't exist, nor did the variety of compact payloads available.

Even though the design failed on Earth, it's always been my suspicion that the thing was developed further; and on every Space Shuttle mission, there was at least one black-budget Gyrojet rifle with advanced ammunition & guidance capabilities.

See. Issue with that is: Railguns. And price.

Sure a missile launchint full auto recoilless rifle sounds good in 0g. But what gets sent to the battlefield ain't what's best. It's what's cheap.

In favor of gyrojet though, railguns heat up like mofos, and vacuum is shit at heat dispersal. So maybe rockets can fix that if they don't have too much friction. Either way it sure as shit would be mini-rpgs, nothing with advanced guidance. In the end there's a reason most militaries are still using fucking ACOG as main aiming asist. Turns out it's good enough. Space won't be much different on that respect. Specially when in a vaccuum most guidance systems are useless to begin with and gravity and windage can be ignored anyway.

"The canon"? Late what is that supposed to mean?

The Canon is the academic laws and principles by which academic knowledge is judged. The most well known Canon is the Scientific Method but historians and other variations of "social sciences" and "humanities" have other standards.

Yes he literally claimed he wrote a manuscript so good it would rewrite THE ENTIRETY OF SCIENCE AND ACADEMIC PHILOSOPHY AS A WHOLE.

I need to read that manuscript. It has to be the best tard cum in history. 400 pages of pure, unadulterated, self agrandising sperging.

Well. See. As with most awesome things in life. Turned out once we tried it... 'twas kinda shite. Reality: it's the ultimate buzzkill.

From the sound of it the killer was cost, which stemmed from the special machine they built to do the drilling as well as the special tooling.

Nowadays you get a 5-axis CNC machine with coolant to help cutting which would reduce the strain on the tool. Also better machine practices should help.

Don't get me wrong, it will be expensive, but manageable.

Or 3-D printing for rapid prototyping so you could have the optimal design and decide what your tooling needs to be. Could be they blew all their cash on a bad design.

Ah, as they were/are part of people discussed In this thread i wasn't sure if that was what they meant or something only someone like them would understand
The sheer fucking hubris

Not sure about you people, but if I knew anything about daytrading and stock market crap - I would have been investing on private security firms since 2 weeks ago. Watching all this shit as a foreigner is really entertaining, better than the shit Netflix and Hollywood churn out these days, Escape from *Blue urbanite city* is a success.

Initially the stocks would rise, but then plummet once people realize that private security can't do shit but call the cops and file a report (maybe). they're bound by the same laws and you and I, save the fact that their names and fingerprints are registered and they may have some protection for holding suspected criminals but not that much more. I had my car window smashed in full view of a parked security car, security guard said she was on her lunch break, didn't see anything and offered to call the cops. the st. louis boomer couple called their neighborhood security and they didn't even show up. you might be able to get extremely expensive private ex-military style security, some might be deputized officers but again, they're not really going to stop a guy anymore than security will. even the deputization of military folks is getting heavy scrutiny.
