Many students that left, whether they graduated or dropped out, now want to live in a world that resembles their university campus-- including not really having to work and having their feelings protected. They also now have a ton of debt and blame it on the evil capitalists (their professors told them so!!) And naturally they want some sort of glorious revolution for socialism.
And it's going to be great if anything ever actually happens because every single instance of communism or socialistic thought among intellectual classes is usually purged with extreme predjudice even if you're from the same ideology but different factions.
Like, every last instance of communism and socialistic governance has included this. Even the socialistic uni students who supported the mullahs in Iran were considered key to the Iranian Revolution... and still found themselves up against a wall facing a squad of bearded Mohammeds.
Even Tito (who usually gets a semi-pass for telling Stalin to go fuck himself and slowly cozy up to the West) purged intellectuals in Serbia.
Like, there was that weirdo earlier in the thread who'd "love to be a therapist" after the revolution, presuming they wouldn't themselves be purged as a result for their own misspoken tongue or an ancient comment or tweet that would be drawn up. You'd get factional infighting which would rapidly evolve into two-four factions that would vy for power and see the other arm purged heavily.
Socialism/communism on paper always sounds nice, is a siren song of an ideology which grew out of the Christian Co-operative movement that was
enormously successful in the United Kingdom at one time, but was mostly rewritten by a spiteful athiest and a rich drunkard, neither of whom worked a day in their lives.
It's unsurprising their 21st century acolytes are broadly the same kind of people and are naive enough to not think the power vaccum socialism naturally creates won't always
always be taken advantage of by someone power hungry or magnetic enough to do so.
Do you think Fox just does these meme vids, checks the viewing figures and the youtube hits and just goes "fuckit, find more memes!"
