You'll see the classic three step police escalation used - ask, order, force

They'll ask everyone to go home with promises to meet some of their less-outlandish demands, or at least start a committee they can be part of, which will get a few to leave who are already on-the-fence and bored or just plain out of food/drugs.

Then they'll order the CHOP shut down and all citizens out by midnight on suchandsuch a date, by order of Mayor Karen herself, which will get a few more to leave as the loss of/betrayal by their biggest local cheerleader will be demoralizing.

Then, at 11pm, as the deadline nears and the police actually start to form up in riot gear to start the "Force" part and actually sweep the block, the vast majority of those left will realize "holy shit this is gonna happen, I don't want no part of this" and leave, or will try and be defiant, but when toe-to-toe with a riot shield that doesn't stop when you yell "FASCIST!" at it, will cave. That means the only ones left are the foolish diehards that'll be met with tear gas, beanbag rounds, and flashbangs. ANd while a token one or two will chuck rocks, all the rest will disperse at that point and go home to cry on Facebook about how the utopia was here at last, but the cops just ruined it, wah wah wahhhhhh

There's not gonna be a siege or a coordinated military strike to end this, the opposition doesn't rise to the threat level such is warranted, this coudl've been ended long ago with basic crowd control tactics had the police been allowed to do their jobs.

This assumes the mayor actually meant what she said rather than being a mealy-mouthed ass covering. Remember, the city council banned tear gas and rubber bullets, so the police can't use them. They'll be sent in unarmed to try and kick them out and will likely fail, possibly have one or more of the cops shot. This will be used as a rallying cry by the idiots.

Unless the cops show up with high pressure water cannons, this will fail and just be words said by the mayor.

Though if they damage her house she might actually crack down on them.

People, it's not going to just end. Occupy had a far smaller area of New York and made it 5 months, since the city didn't forcefully get rid of them until then. If they hadn't been forceful, they never would've left.

One night early on people assumed CHAZ was gone because almost everybody got bored and went home. The entire project has been on the edge of falling apart from day 1. Now we have shootings, rapes, and theft.

This is unrelated, but one of my favorite WWII eastern front anecdotes is how when Hitler invaded the USSR, Stalin panicked and had to dig out some of these guys from the gulags and get them back into command positions.

One general had been tortured so severely that they had to give him steel teeth to replace the ones that had been pulled out. He went on to serve till the end of the war.
