They'll settle out of court to try and avoid the media hoopla of a civil trial. It's happened before, the owner of a venue downtown was harassed by both our city council and the local activist community (>inb4 what's the difference lmao) when he tried to demolish the building to build more housing the city's always whining about. After he took the city to court for how they fucked with his business (numerous unlawful stop orders, illegally re-zoning his lot to include it as part of a local tourist attraction, last-ditch adding it to a historical registry), he got close to a million dollars out of them in settlement.

If this whole thing actually goes to trial any business included in the lawsuit will have an arson attempt made on its property.
