If that's a miguided mission I dont know. I go back and forth on this a lot, on one hand yeah, its going to be really tough for restaurants and any kind of outdoor dining. But I also remember that restaurants like Broadway Grill and COastal Kitchen and even small places like Hopvine and Roanoke Tavern and lots of others do have outdoor seating and made it work all these years in the PNW with heat lamps and those white plastic covers, and all the restaurants in the Pike-Pine corridor used to have outdoor seating and all the restaurants in MAdison Park or Leschi have patios or whatever and its the crazy building boom in the past 10 or 15 years that erased patios and decks and outdoor seating for maximum square footage for ground floor retail. So yeah, outdoor dining in Seattle in winter can be terrible, but it also has been a thing in years past. But then again, any restaurants that opened in Neo-Seattle or a new building without outdoor seating are probably fucked now. Is that covids fault, is that Inslee's fault, is it the fauly of the developers trying to squeeze every dollar out of shitty building designs, or is it the Seattle government for letting Seattle's pioneer spirit be turned into Lego City, or is it the fault of people getting together anyway despite covid, or is it the fault of the restaurant owners for not learning to code? I've got a friend in a Lynnwood nursing home and they're restricted to their rooms pending medical emergency for 4 weeks. That same nursing home had a wave of covid cut through and I think they had 1 or 2 deaths. Either way, everyone there has tested positive for antibodies.

At a glance it looks like first police authorities were saying they wouldn't abandon the EAst Precinct, then they did it anyway, and with cops gone, it was left to Seattle Fire Department to try and keep CHAZ protestors from torching the building. The videos of him handing out AR's seemed like the smoking gun. Washington changed their laws a couple years ago to make private transfers and "gun loaning" very illegal. This is also coming from a city that has tried to outlaw guns numerous times but are unable to legally do so as Washington's constitution has its own 2nd amendment style provisions. I'm just convinced they don't want to charge non-whites with crimes to disarm people that call them racist, even though they're probably the pinnacle model for how liberal cities can police.
