As far as the dogs go, I've had a new puppy for a week now. She's 8 weeks old and she's already starting to let us know when she needs to go out. She's still to young to properly hold it so she sometimes has accidents, but she's well in her way to being house broken. Chris has had those beagles for over a year and they still urinate and defecate in the house. Knowing how much work just one puppy is it puts into perspective just how neglected the dogs are and it makes me angry. Those dogs deserve owners who love them and properly care for them.

IDK how he made that connection. Maybe Chris really does think all pets are like dogs.

I don't think so. Cats generally groom themselves and try to keep themselves clean.

Sorry for being but what's bad about the way he's holding the cat? It doesn't look too unusual to me. I've held my cats in worse ways and they didn't go ape like that.

All of them are different. My old kitty I could hold under his 'arms' or cradle like a baby or pick him up in all sorts of absurd ways and he'd just roll with it or squirm if he wanted down. My family cat is talkative and adores people and constantly wants pettings, but will tear you up if you try to pick her up. (Meanwhile her sister loves to be picked up and snuggled, but will turn into a demon if you try to bring her indoors.) It's a case of Chris not getting that she just flat out DOES NOT WANT to be held then! No surprise really, it's not like he's known for caring about whether any creature (human or otherwise) actually wants to be around him or not. I hate that he has pets, I'm sure he'd never deliberately harm them, but he's not a kind or responsible owner. =(

When I read that, I emmediately thought of a giant, fat cat wearing a red and blue striped shirt, pedo glasses and a medallion sitting in a litter box playing with a ps vita.

Yeah, I know. I have a male tabby that we can do almost anything to and he just shakes his head and acts like nothing happened. His tortoiseshell sister always yells when I pick her up, even if I pick her up very gently.

Kitty obviously is a cat that doesn't like to be picked up, but Chris at least knew he should put the cat down because it was going nuts.

It's unfortunate that Chris has trouble with pets. Autistic people like him benefit from contact with pets, but he should volunteer at an animal shelter instead of keeping pets at home. Unfortunately, Chris won't do that because volunteering is work, and work causes him STRESS.

I wonder if he'd like try to pet it on it's claw or something (and terrify the poor creature) or on the shell because maybe he thinks they have feeling in the things that are basically clothes.
He certainly wouldn't be able to give them the fresh fruits and vegatables they need, he'd probably feed them just fish food :/
