Fixed that for you.Sakamoto said:As long as there are new games to buy he has a reason to live
I think that's the wrong direction. I think it's more that, if Chris wants to guilt someone for potentially committing suicide, then he'll tell them this.raymond said:If Chris has ever heard the "if you commit suicide you automatically go to hell" thing, then he'll never do it.

Considering that Chris thinks that there is a "Roger Rabbit" universe where cartoons are real, I wouldn't be surprised if he believed this too.Sakamoto said:raymond said:If Chris has ever heard the "if you commit suicide you automatically go to hell" thing, then he'll never do it.
Or worse yet, if it was like the movie "Beetlejuice" where people who commit suicide become the civil servants of the afterlife. Then Chris would finally have to work.
Suicidal ideation and actual suicidal behavior are, on a fundamental level, two entirely different psychological concepts. I can easily believe that he's thinking "just kill me now" quite commonly these days. But to actually be at risk for suicide? That requires a certain level of introspection - specifically, you can't truly decide you want to kill yourself unless you've already devoted some serious thought to the idea that you are worthless/awful/whatever. Chris, as we know, does not think along those lines. Every single thing he doesn't like in the universe is someone else's fault, he just assumes this with more faith than any zealot.Marvin said:the tweet in June 2012 where he talked about shooting himself in the head with megatron is worrying. I think it was more just an immediate expression of his depression. Suicide would probably need to be something that'd develop over time, and I don't think Chris' thinking patterns fit that.
Yeah. Chris doesn't actually "believe" in God or God's rules, not in a way that counts. God is just an idea to him, an excuse for whatever rules he likes and ignorable when the rules become inconvenient.Marvin said:I think that's the wrong direction. Like with people telling Chris that god is not a fan of premarital sex. "HMM YEAH BUT SEX IS NATURAL SO IT'S OK DERE"![]()
