It was most likely a mixture of pity and politics on Snyder's part. Would you want to be known as the person who sent a literal tard to jail? We all know what Chris is like, and honestly a few months in jail might have done some good. Snyder seems like a decent guy who was trying his damndest to be fair and just get them to leave him alone. Sending the Teflon Tard to the slammer would have tarnished his reputation, even in a little bumfuck town that knows all about Chris's antics. People judge, his business may have suffered from doing that. This is something that I am curious/concerned about. Since the series is starting to pick up the pace, I've been pondering about how it would all end. I would disagree his parents told the school district to pound sand when special ed was mentioned. The failures of Chris stems from his parents unwillingness to get him the help he needed badly. If Chris got the help he needed as a kid and was given the tools and education to help him with his disabilities there is a decent chance this forum wouldn't exist as is. Overall, I think this and the last episodes were good. These were more like his earlier videos, which involved a lot more reading and commentary instead of just stringing videos. The subject matter also makes this a lot better, given that Chris' shenanigans with Michael Snyder are generally good.

I find it interesting that Anna McClerran has now resurfaced in the narrative. I'm interested to see where this goes.

I don't think Snyder had it in him to do more than what he did. After all, Chris is mentally ill, and the worst thing he did was take pictures. I think pushing for something further would just look bad in general.

Currently working my way through, finally hit the years where I began to actively follow (2009-2011).
