Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

Okay real talk, the night Chris was featured on Tucker my parents called me about it. Both of them are over 60. When your geriatric parents are mentioning Chris to you, he’s not just a niche thing anymore.

My Half Brother once called Chris “An obscure meme nobody really cares about anymore”. And I guess to our generation there’s some truth to that. A lot of us who frequent the Chris board from the old days only care because we want to see how it ends. But then the incest saga started and now…. Well let’s just say much mom periodically calls to ask what happening with that autistic guy who raped his mom and my dad reads the Cwcki.
How common do you think that reaction is? He was barely mentioned in order to illustrate a larger point, the host got his name wrong, and he hasn’t been mentioned again. My older parents have already forgotten it.

I think he's said some time in January or February, I think with everything that's happened he's considering wrapping it up as best he can and in short order and trying to move on he doesn't want to be associated with Chris as a topic anymore.

He's done such a great job, I think he would be a fool to quit. Creating a documentary about Hitler doesn't make you bad or "associated with Hitler". While conceivably someone could make a better Chris documentary in the future, full of interviews and psychological specialists, etc., Geno has done wonders summarizing the available data on the CWCki into a digestible form for youtube, while keeping it comprehensive and not skipping anything important.

Whelp, it's 2022. Geno's NeoCitypop is really good but I hope he take some time to come back to the series.

I hope he comes back soon. For whatever reason, he has a gift in telling Chris Chan's story.

One of the things I am definitely looking forward to this year.
