Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

I don't blame Geno for wanting to take a break. Those videos probably take a while to make and I don't think he was expecting the series to be such a hit. He's been consistently releasing new episodes bi-weekly to keep up with the demand and it must be undoubtedly taxing to meet that schedule. He said in his Q&A video that he's also a full-time college student. If you look back on his channel's history prior to the series, it's very apparent that music is his passion and what makes him happy. I actually don't mind waiting til next year for more.

Even the Clinton News Network touched on the announcement:

CNN BREAKING: Emmy-Award Winning Chris Chan: A Comprehensive History Cancelled

The documentary creator, whose season 1 reached stratospheric ratings will not be returning for a second season as scheduled, the shows creator, GenoSamuel, confirms.

GenoSamuel's Chris Chan: A Comprehensive History meticulously researched (with high production values) the story of Christian Weston Chandler, a highly controversial internet personality. Chris Chan: A Comprehensive History climbed to the No.1 spot for the broadcast season in both total viewers and adults aged 18-49. While nostalgia was expected to bring in eyeballs, no one predicted such a huge turnout for the documentary with an autistic tugboat protagonist, especially among the younger demographic. (But then, few predicted that Trump would become the Republican nominee and would win the presidential election when he first announced his candidacy.)

Three weeks after YouTube suspended the account associated with the series for "violating community guidelines," CNN confirmed the channel terminated GenoSamuel's account with one episode left in limbo before the season finale. Outraged fans pushed back against YouTube for failing to identify which guidelines were violated and pointing out that other documentaries have been permitted to air despite gross violations of it's supposed guidelines.

The series was briefly revived on other platforms to air the season finale. Stunning fans, GenoSamuel confirmed Tuesday he was shelving the widely successful series due to personal reasons as well as the "ongoing obstacles with marketing the show and protracted litigation." News of the cancellation coincided with the 2018 Grammy Awards and was featured prominently in American and international media.

He gives fans glimmers of hope that the series could reboot in some fashion in 2019 if "the timing is right" and invited fans to watch him on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

One fan commented a famous quote by Nietzsche that seems fittingly appropriate with the finale describing Chris Chan's last sentence in the finale: "He who fights monsters must see to it that he himself does not become one. When you gaze headlong into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you."

EDIT: CNN erroneously reported that U.S. President Donald Trump was nominating GenoSamuel to succeed retiring U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Anthony Kennedy. We have removed that text from this article and apologize to Mr. Samuel.

It sucks that he's on hiatus, but it's totally understandable; the quality of the series would suffer if it became a chore to make... plus he said he's had Chris on his mind for hours a day... and NO ONE DESERVES THAT TORTURE!

I suppose you could call this the season 1 finale... can't wait for season 2!

Good news, Genosamuel's hiatus is expected to end on February 2019.

Cant really blame the guy for getting burned out producing so much Chris content in one sitting. At least he's not promoting Better Help on his channel. Everyone needs a break now and then. Good on Geno for hopefully coming back since his series was top-notch.

Shame this happened right before the meat of the Liquid Chris saga, oh well, it'll likely be worth the wait.
It's almost the perfect place to stop. It's one of the single highest notes in the entirety of Chris Chan poetic edda.

It's the universally loved saga and I can wait until it comes back.

Geno does a fine fine job. I happily await it's return.
