Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

Agreed. Last year I was in a very deep depression and was spending a day by myself when I discovered his Chris videos and I started watching them, and it literally made me feel so much better that it was remarkable. His voice was soothing, and just the way he explained things and poured so much care into presenting the details is so great. I'm not trying to be dramatic but it helped me more than I can describe. So the fact that you watched the videos after a hard day is pretty relatable, and it makes me wonder how many other people his videos have helped.

I'd be surprised if he wanted to 'reboot' it. When he took that break, he said part of the reason was he just isn't that interested in Chris, or in making docos- he's always been mostly into music. He also talked about how daunting it was, realizing how long the series would have to be to cover all Chris's autistic bullshit- IIRC he started aiming for a 12 part series, but soon realized it'd take much more than that, which he found pretty overwhelming (understandably imo). He also said part of why he was paused the series was that he finds it depressing (i think he said "mentally draining" or something) focussing on Chris so much (again, understandable).

So re-treading ground he's already covered, needlessly doubling up on work seems unlikely to me. I was surprised to see him going back to it at all, really. I think it'd more likely he wants to get it out of the way.

He's not rebooting the series, but he is going to redo some of the older episodes to fix some errors, redo narration he doesn't feel is up to snuff in the first episodes, and (unfortunately) cutting and censoring some content that might get him reported by Youtube for bullying and abuse. One example is the BlueSpike "medallion up the ass" call.

He said he's going to have the WCT channel retain the old episodes, but ask that they be unlisted so they won't get flagged.

Personally I think he's being a bit paranoid about it, and I'd be bummed if future episodes withhold important content because he's worried about getting flagged.

he's an autist for taking this as seriously as he is (after expressed wanting to stop) and a pussy for not going all out with the bare facts (that he reads off the CWCki)

It's not the first time someone that created something has wanted to go back and improve on the original after getting more experience and learning new things. Doesn't always turn out better, but it doesn't make someone an autist for it. He also didn't say he was fully stopping it, just taking a break until the new year. Well, its 2019 and here we are.

I agree with cutting content out of fear though. It's lame as fuck, considering the reupload of the original videos to other channels haven't been touched.

yes but he hasn't really created anything new (any idiot can just read shit off the cwcki and put it in a video), he's just spent more time than anyone else doing it, and since it's, of all things, a documentary about chris chan, he's a (double) autist for not using his time more productively

like, making a webcomic about furries would be a better use of his time than this

It's not actually a documentary since he's just reading of the Wiki. A true documentary is unearthing subjective evidence and talking to those with experience.

Meh. I liked it, even if it's regurgitating the Cwcki. I miss out on some Chris shit because I can't be bothered to do a wiki dive, but can put this on while I'm working or driving. Also, it might just be me but at the right volume this series can put me right to sleep if I'm having trouble. That's probably not the best compliment, though.

I will admit I found the old Random Assault podcast on Chris more entertaining. Some of it was inaccurate but hearing reactions from the dude who had no previous knowledge of Chris was pretty hilarious.
