The main point is that he's tried to create an all encompassing "comprehensive history", I think it was a given that when he started this series, he clearly set a bench mark that he wanted to include in the very beginnings of Chris and his story from the earliest days of the autistic beginnings, the trolling incidents and all the major proceeding events to the present day, so even the more boring irrelevant parts such as Chris sending emails to people, making updates on a website, making short rather out of place response videos etc.

I don't know for sure if he has skipped any major aspects of his life in the videos so far (obviously a lot of his high school year stuff can't be found out because there are a lot of gaps during this time simply because their is just too little info) and I'm not dedicated enough to pick everything apart in this timeline but I wonder just how much he's skipped over in the videos that he could have highlighted just to make some of the episode even longer or to prove a point that he was trying to make.

This does bring up the question as well with regards to how far is Geno willing to go to decipher and uncover every single thing that Chris has posted on twitter/youtube/facebook especially in the past few years once he gets to that point and Chris really justs posts updates only through these mediums (although I think we reached that point a few episodes ago anyway). Like all his autistic ramblings about MLP/Sonic, his incoherent messages about the merge and body swapping or even all the times he was arguing with people blocking him and the CWCprotectsquad or even the discussions with the guard dogs.

I think this is one of those issues where there's no good option available. I'll never regard Chris as a "she," but, in the context of YouTube, humoring people's pronoun choice is the closest thing there is to a default position. Arguably, by going with "she," Geno is taking the position that offers the least commentary on his subject.

Most of the video and audio has been shortened for brevity already. Especially the audio conversations. Sometimes, recorded calls are cut by like 50-70% but still end up being 20 minutes long because I left in the interesting parts. I do cut out stuff that I think is irrelevant or too long, or when people repeat topics that were already addressed.
I am aware that some people don't like it, but I do and I think it's relevant to the overall development of the story. I find the video portions are my favorite aspect, and I thought the Alec calls were great and wanted to show how the conversations developed and how Chris' thought process worked. Some people really love episodes where I just talk for most of it, which I personally find quite boring. Likewise, a lot of people really didn't like the ABL calls to my disappointment, and despite being the most time-consuming thing to edit, I felt I had to include it.

The thing is, there are so many different sources used throughout the series that it would be impossible for people to not have preferences for one type or the other. But on top of being comprehensive, I do try to make it interesting, and I almost never do padding. I can honestly say that I knowingly padded maybe less than five times. I can most confidently remember extending the Kacey call with Barbara in Part 17 longer than I could have becase if I cut more out, it would have made the episode too short for my liking. On most cases, after editing, it's either as long as I intended or it's too long, so I end up cutting them down.

Maybe I find the story a lot more interesting than most people...
