Why do so many people here genuinely think Geno is about to troon out? Lol it's obvious he's just doing another joke like he did with his bearded and smiling profile pics, all this shit is done with FaceApp at the touch of a button. Besides, I may be wrong here, but isn't he married or at least living with his girlfriend or something?

I was being sarcastic in my comment before hand, most people here think were as well.

But I will say, constantly putting yourself in an immersion of Chris related content and all the autistic happenings on everything about him across the cwcki, the farms and on other sites across the web, can't be a healthy thing for your mind, I'm guessing Geno does take time to have a break from this when he can but still, it would not surprise me at all to find out that his mental sanity has degraded somewhat after he's finished doing this series all the way to the end (whenever that may be) and who knows how he'll be at that point in time.

Well he said he wanted to stop when he reaches modern day Chris, but who knows if he plans to continue to make "updates" as episodes, recounting events that happen from the moment he’s reached present day onwards.
Modern meaning current day Chris correct?

Hyperbole, or just autism.

I'm on episode 20 of the Geno docu and I think it's really amateurish. It's not really a docu so much as it is a CWCki Audiobook.

I realize that's not a unique complaint, but I think a lot of people who say that are simply criticizing it for using the CWCki as a sole primary resource without any original research. This is also true, but that's not really a problem. The problem with his style is 1) it completely fails to respect your time, 2) it has absolutely no insights from the author, and 3) he doesn't actually seem to know anything on the subject that an ordinary person cannot gleam from the CWCki.

On the first point, it cuts nothing. Almost everything is played in its entirety. It does not take 50 hours to explain Chris. It takes 50 hours to play absolutely everything Chris or his trolls has ever made, and narrate all his emails. That is what I mean by audiobook.

On the second, a huge reason people like documentaries is that the author can use editing and the benefit of hindsight to make commentary that elevates information from mere data to a narrative. Geno's documentary is "this happens, then this happens, then this other thing happens." There are several times so far I've heard Geno mention something I'd forgotten about, and I exclaimed in my head "Oh! This is ironic because of something he did later! He should totally bring that up now!" (most evident with anything Chris said about gender/homosexuality). Geno's totally linear style with no elaboration or hindsight makes me wonder if he's actually trying to just explain Chris's story chronologically, or if at Episode 20 he doesn't know what's going to be in Episode 50 so he just doesn't know to bring things up.

On the third, he just doesn't seem to know things that are fun. It's impossible to describe the childish glee you get when you bite into the CWCki the first time and see that the videos are categorized by the fucking shirt he's wearing because of course they are. He plays one video of the home tour, where you can clearly see the Sonic Totem in the background. I got fucking excited seeing the Sonic Totem. I know he sold that on eBay in the last few years for a couple hundred dollars. Does Geno mention that? No, of course not. All it takes is a circle and zoom, and "this small glimpse at a paper mache Sonic Totem would spark a cult fascination. In 2018, Chris sold it on eBay for over a thousand dollars." That's something that a viewer would be interested in knowing, especially considering how at that time people are telling him that he'll never make money and nobody would ever care about Sonichu. Did Geno Samuel even know when he recorded this that the Sonic Totem was a beloved artifact?

What Geno should do after he's done shitting out his first draft of research is go back and reduce the entire thing into 2 hours with all the benefits and editing that a documentary needs. Submit it to Sundance and get an award or something. Look at the Pepe documentary Feels Good Man and add some style. Jesus fuck.

Is it even a documentary? It never gets shown as such, Its a comprehensive history, so "not respecting your time" while watching a comprehensive series about "the most documented person in history" is a bit of a moot point.

You're still on the fairly watchable parts too.

I'm in the 30s now and he played Sonichu Babies in its fucking entirety. Is he being commissioned by the minute or something?
Every complaint you have gets continuously worse as it goes on, by the 40s its nothing but a completely clinical reading of every minute social interaction chris has on social media. Up though liquid Chris the videos are actually built with something resembling a narrative and structure if only because Chris' life actually had arcs at the time and it's a natural story to tell, but rather than making a narrative out of his degeneration he simply chronologically lists and presents all the meaningless events in his usual monotone.

The best episodes to me are the very first ones that look at Chris pre-SomethingAwful/4chan days. The very last bit of the episode with the last Kacey Call in it was well done too. But I share a lot of the problems that you have with the series.

It doesn't help that Geno's come into contact with Chris imo. The line between onlooker and ween is a thin one and must be traversed carefully.
