Also, random question that has nothing to do with anything at all. But was is the minimum age to post on the forums?

I don't think there is a set "age limit" to post here. I don't think the admins would set an age rule unless we suddenly had a bunch of Bluespikes running around here, I think it probably regulates itself. I imagine 15 or 16 probably being the youngest someone who wanders here might be.

Alright well I wanted to wait a little while before revealing because of fear of being instantly banned. But I started the movie at 16 years old and finished it a few weeks after I turned 17 I am a junior in highschool right now. I just want people to kind of understand better. So yeah... I am not 18+ I feel this is important to mention because I want people to understand my limitations as a student (in terms of access to certain things.) even though I am getting older I still have boundaries.

ALSO UNRELEASED FOOTAGE IS LIVE.

I know you're hesitant to interview trolls and I get that, but I think a select few who have actually produced serious personal content/put a lot of time and artistic effort into this are pretty essential to understanding the scope of the Chris Chan phenomenon as a whole: specifically ABL and Liquid Chris. Asperchu and the liquid Chris saga were probably the most interesting and unique aspects of the trolling, at least from a public non-Christorian POV.

Also I think you MIGHT (that's a big might) be more likely to score a Chris Chan interview if you make the interview about Sonichu and agree to talk about what he wants to talk about. He may feel less attacked and paranoid and he tends to shut down when being asked about unpleasant things or events. You also might want to consider recruiting a female interviewer since I think he would be less open to discussing things with a Damned Dirty Male.

gosh dangit i wish i had this teacher in filmschool

our documentary lecturer was a legend but also an absolute prick - buy this guy a box of apples or something, he's awesome

I wish the interview with Mr. Special Education had been conducted somewhere you wouldn't have literally had people opening doors, etc. behind you. I know, I know, how many places can you find privacy and decent lighting around a high school? But I mean, you were talking about things people would like to see...

I suspect strongly that Mr. Special Education is significantly older than me, but then again, maybe that's just the effects of dealing with public-school bullshit (and I mean from the administrators downward!) for 25 years. That said, you can tell him another random female on the internet (because I know someone remarked on this before, maybe @Absinthe?) thought he was rather hot.

I don't suggest you do another documentary, last time you had to choose between detail and outline and it's only been a few weeks. This forum may be powered by Autism™ but I don't know if any of us could handle sitting through 2 hours of Chris just because this time you've done it over but more detailed.

I've said it before and others have said it in this thread: Episodic format.
Do 10-15 minute videos on each saga, once a month. This gives you more time to research or ask around here on the forums and you can give Christory linearity by making a YouTube playlist. Not only that but you could go into detail, and pick out some great moments that really show how Chris has changed over the years.

Lastly; it'll be good for you as a video maker.

As well as trying interviewing the trolls (Liquid Chris would likely be the most interesting although the last I heard he's studying to be a doctor so might not want to be associated with Chris anymore) it might be interesting hear from the likes of A-log, like find out what kind of things he's had to deal with since he's become so intertwined with the Chris-chan community and ask him what he thinks of his name being synonymous with extreme troll-shielding.

It was a private room, just some assholes at random came in.

It has been a few weeks, but does that mean the movie will be done in the upcoming weeks? no.... mid summer at the earliest. And of course that's just slinging words around. I am positive everyone will have forgotten about it by then and will be either pleasantly surprised, or have waited months.

It might be informative to have him watch your first documentary and then have him comment on Chris' autism for the sequel.
Yes, If I am able to snag another interview with him along with others I will prep for like a week and make sure I squeeze all the juicy answers out of him.

Also like someone quoted that "movies are not finished they are just abandoned". I completely agree, I am satisfied with my movie but I know what could have been which is what disappoints me. But it disappointing me in the way that makes me want to slap even more on and do what I envisioned at the beginning. In short I want to make a bigger and better version because I know I am capable at least in terms of will power.

I will occasionally drop summaries of the script on the thread to fact check, without giving away the words themselves. So I can at least let you guys help while still keeping secrets ;).

The working title for the Steve Jobs biography was iSteve: The Book of Jobs, but the author's daughter convinced him to name it just Steve Jobs instead. So I kind of appreciate how you just named it Christian Weston Chandler Documentary.

For the sequel, you could call it Christian Weston Chandler Documentary II: Da Update.

It would be pretty cool if you could integrate interviews with people who knew Chris in someway and with people who work with autistic individuals such as Chris into the next documentary.

I already have people who work with that kind of stuff. And I have no clue how to contact people with personal experience to Chris. But I think it would add if it was done right.

For what it's worth, I like the idea of 20 minute or so videos every so often each covering a saga.

Firstly, thank you. I loved the first Chris documentary so much. I'm a newb Christorian so it was a watchable springboard into the horrifying car crash of Chris Chan's life.

I'd like to see an interview with a person with “high-functioning” autism that received the targeted education Chris was denied. The interview with the special ed teacher was great, so it would be good to have the suggestion of “what would be done” with “what results from that”. I know other factors (Borb's own, bizarre opinions on the world around them) will have come into play in shaping Chris into who he is today, but from an objective point of view a viable comparison between what Chris potentially COULD have been and what he turned out to be, would be very interesting, and also shine a spotlight on the effectiveness and validity of specialised and targeted education in these kinds of situations...as if there was any doubt!
