Something that baffles me about Chris Chan, is that multiple times he has claimed to have excelled in math. Does anybody actually know the highest level of math he has taken? Has he taken high school level calculus? I would like to know what his definition of "excelled in math" is.

EDIT: Off-topic, this is the first time I found that "Chris Chan" is automatically changed to "Our Pet Lolcow".

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

I'm sure he can add and subtract double digit numbers.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

He doesn't know 360 divided by 2, so... he's probably somewhere around at this level:

He was capable of counting all the pennies he picked up.
And working out how many times he can use a sex doll before it breaks. (poor Kimmi)

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

He's good at geometry, he can do a 360, or a 120, or whatever turning around is.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, HE WAS HONOR ROLL!

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

he got the sped treatment of everyone who shows up gets on the honor roll and he thinks he's a genius

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

I kinda wondered how somenody that slept through his classes and demonstrated little interest in school-work beyond his art class got into the honor roll. Some of his courses might have been different from the other students, I'm not quite sure how the special-ed system works in the states.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

he probably went as far as pre-algebra in seinor year is my guess

HONOR ROLL MY ASS!

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

He was more than likely in remedial math. He was in the special-ed program.

I can see Bob throwing a fit and yelling at the teachers if Chris got anything less than a C.
Plus for the sake of the poor teachers sanity she could have given him a B-.
I can officially say that Chris was better at math than I was homework wise. I never did any of it, he has the on me, but my sat and act test scores were high enough that I was able to get my credits for pre calc and calc by testing out.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

I remember he probably was around Pre-Cal level. There was something somewhere in Cwcki that said something about Sine, Cosine, and Tangent.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements..........

Are non existent.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

According to "A week with Christian Weston Chandler" he was in Trig at the time the thing was written.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

Trig is an easy math class though. I got C's/D's in high school math except for trig, which I got an A in.

If you're in standard level courses, you can easily make "honor roll" At least from my high school experience, the teachers in those classes didn't want to be there and wanted to get the kids to pass. They don't have a lot of homework or tests; just show up to class and you pass it. Chris could do that.

Well, he showed up, didn't he? That's, like, some kind of achievement, right?

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

Honor roll is just maintaining a B average, which is trivial, particularly if Chris was in special-ed classes.

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

he did his homework!!!

Re: Our Pet Lolcow's academic achievements

He took trig, which is a fairly low level class for a seinor (sic) to take. Here in Ohio you have to pass Algebra I to graduate, and trig is just above Geometry IIRC, and Geometry is just above Algebra I, so he wasn't a complete dunce in high school math.

My brother is an accountant and was taking AP Calculus AB his senior year of high school. It does make me laugh to think of Chris trying to find a derivative in a calculus class.

Oh, sure, Chris excelled at math. He was taking a sophomore level course when the mathletes were all taking pre-engineering math like calculus. IIRC, Chris dropped out of Marketing because he couldn't pass a business math or accounting course. I earned a degree in business and we joked that the Marketing majors were the ones who couldn't do math.

Staying awake in classes is HARD, guys.
