It's more that Chris is a chameleon who shifts his language to adapt to his surroundings. I assume he does this because he's autistic and he learned it as a coping skill. When dealing with trolls, he swears, and he's done this for a long time. If you look at his edits to ED, he used all sorts of cuss words because he assumed it was appropriate to the environment. In his two-hour phone call with Lars, he gradually becomes a niggo. Since trolls now surround him 24/7 and continue to drag him through mud and bodily fluids, swearing is now a regular part of his vocabulary.

My question: is this a real epiphany, or is it just another "card" to play to elicit sympathy, like the well-worn Autism Card?

This isn't even a real card in the game, considering how many times he's laid the blame on his "mental problems". It's like he's sliding in one of his "originals" and trying to convince reality itself that it's not just an official card but is also a legal play, despite the fact that reality is playing chess.

IDK, Megan seems like she's been a constant in his repertoire of blame game victims for a while now. I think she's going to stay in the mix along with The Jew and MLW as the Axis of Offline Trolling.
 
^Pretty much this, but remember he has that Greene County School Board conspiracy thing going and he said that they were the reason 14BLC did not sell. I'm surprised he didn't bring these people in his recent posts... oh wait, he did.

I'm hoping he blames Sonic next. Not only as the cause of his autism but for not giving him advice on how to get over his shyness and attract a boyfriend-free girl.

Sonic only ever offered 1 piece of advice: "Gotta Go Fast!"
Chris hasn't applied to his own life, because going fast causes the Hard Breathings, Physical Heart Pains and the Crashings into a Grand Number of Slumbers.

On the other hand, Chris believes in a form of "gotta go fast" in that he is impatient and can't ever be bothered to wait for anything.

He's always been like this, too. I was listening to the Father Call recently, and Chris compares pulling weeds and moving furniture to going to war in Iraq, getting shot in the chest, and having to carry your friend's dead body back from the lines. He's never had any sense of perspective whatsoever, and at this point I'm pretty convinced that he thinks reality operates exactly like cartoons and comics.
 
This just seems like another massive cop-out from personal responsibility. He needs to vocalize a lot of things to authenticate them to his mind, I think, and Facebook is a good way to do that.

To admit that he has 'mental problems' shows superficial humility, you know? Humility that he genuinely doesn't have.

Eh. As much of a loon as Chris is, he's not that bad in my opinion. He needed some sort of ammunition to use in the hardship war against Kacey's dad..So he went with the most difficult experiences he's had to weather through in his life.

It's not his perspective that's fucked up, it's his ability to socially reason the outcome of what he's saying. He knew that his baby hardships weren't as bad but still felt the need to list them anyway because he couldn't anticipate that his behavior would be perceived as trying to match up to a grave hardship with silly bullshit.
