I have to agree with a bunch of other folks here; I think it's a Christarded attempt to show he can relate to girls. Femininity comes natural to him, since he almost-entirely lacks masculinity, and hates most men. Too bad so does extreme laziness and a complete lack of understanding of subtlety.

YESSSS. I'm only sort of into femboys... not so much as a potential mate, but because I want to feed them, protect them, pet them, buy them accessories, dress them, etc.. But a ton of my friends - particularly the ones into Japanese or Korean pop culture - get super wet for femboys and other varying degrees of bishōnen / kkotminam. There are billion dollar industries built around such pretty boys. Check out some of the chart-topping J and K idols, and most of them are exceedingly pretty. Do a Google Image search for "visual kei," and see if you can pick out which stars are men or women.

but he is not even remotely fem. there is not an ounce of attractiveness about him. his fem aesthetic will turn away "regular" girls. and even though he has fem sexual tendencies, (ass play, etc.) he would never attract that kind of woman because of his hygiene and weight. not to mention once he opens his hate filled mouth, no one will want him. if women are so caring and compassionate as he worships them as , they will never want to be near someone as hateful as him.

I have been wondering for a while when chris was going to give this up, I have always assumed it was some type of sweetheart trap rather than any gender issues. I think that I always thought he would give this up pretty quickly so I'm surprised how long it's gone on.

The only words directly from here were "I didn't raise no daughter." Setting aside the fact that she didn't exactly raise a son either, this should obviously be seen as a sign of strong disapproval.

In the rare situations where Chris and Barb have been spotted in public since ("You're always pretty") Barb seems to tolerate the getup, very grudgingly.

I said on another thread recently that my take on the tomgirl thing was that he's trying to distance himself from the rest of the male population and possibly demonstrate his perceived superiority by adopting female traits as he believes them to be better in a misguided attempt to appear as more appealing to women. Unfortunately the way this manifests itself is in the form of an autistic drag queen.

Remember, Chris feels that rom-com's are "educational" so I can see him watching them with the cliched scenes of the girls all sitting in their pyjamas with their hair all done up in towels, painting one another's nails and putting on makeup. All while they bitch about guys and how they're all jerks and don't understand women.

Meanwhile, men are portrayed as clueless idiots strutting around doing typical "guy things" whilst having no understanding of women or why they inevitably end up upsetting them.

Chris-logic translates this into his tomgirl incarnation by only copying the things he can perceive (clothes and make up), it's basically monkey see, monkey do.

But I don't think Chris has any gender confusion. He knows he's a guy, he just thinks he's a better one than the rest of us JERKS.

Well, yeah, because Chris seems barely human.

His attempts to emulate human behavior often results in comic/tragic failure. You could present him the finest examples of humanity - the most ascetic, the most attractive, the most benevolent, the most chivalrous - and the only traits Chris would probably pick up on and try to emulate is them defecating, belching, or urinating. He seems to miss every positive trait of the heroes of his favorite works of fiction, which is why he always seems like the villain.

Yeah, yeah, "HI ALOG blah blah blah." Time and again, Chris demonstrates this for the world to see.

But I think Chris might have some gender issues, but i think it's more because he's autistic and he doesn't really understand gender roles. He seems to think that "if a woman can be overtly masculine, a man (like myself) can therefore be overtly feminine" but unfortunately this really isn't the case.

Chris also thinks Sonichu is original, well drawn and well written. He doesn't think he's fat, he thought his Harvy birdman/ parappa videos were superior to the other entrants...... I could go on.

Reality isn't Chris' strong point.

Personally I think that the "house husband" crap was just Chris justifying the fact that he wants to spend the rest of his life doing fuck all. Even if he was employable, there's no way he's put up with the routine that a full time job requires, let alone the actual work itself.

His role model for what a housewife/husband does is Barb, nuff said!

Wasn't that more that he'd "rather undergo sex-change surgery than to become a homo" or something? I think that had more to do with his homophobia than any gender identity issues.

I am really puzzled by the tomgirl thing, I feel as if we don't/can't really know why he is that way unless he tells us. There are a lot of theories that do fit well, but given how unconventional Chris' thought process is, it's likely that tomgirl is for a reason we haven't considered. That said, my thoughts on the matter are that tomgirl is a way to be what he has found he wants: A jobless, stay-at-home husband. He probably likes the special treatment ladies get i.e door holding and things like that and that also contributes. Tomgirl is also a way to assert his special snowflake syndrome. One area that is worth noting is that Chris can and will change any longstanding belief or opinion if he thinks he'll gain something out of it. What surprises me about Tomgirl is that he apparently thinks there's something to gain out of it. But again, it's more than likely that Chris' reason for becoming Tomgirl is something we've never seen/considered....................................................................
