People keep commenting how peaceful Chris is, and his claims of the Dimensional Merge being "on". Chris is notorious for not understanding the situation he's in, and probably thinks he's untouchable. He may very well be deluded enough to think this is just another slap on the wrist sleepover that'll end with him and Barbie Chan back at 14BC unsupervised.

But it's also documented that people get really peaceful, sometimes even euphoric, right before they become An Hero. With how Chris comments about people going to CWCville when they die, do we really know Chris won't try to do something drastic? We've been wrong before about how far he would take things.

there were a lot of easier ways for him to kill himself outside of police custody than there are in it. I doubt it.

Assuming Chris paid in advance for a few days in that room, then the shit will sit there unless the cops want to get a warrant or Chris’ consent to search it. After his time is up in the motel, unless Chris has made arrangements from jail with someone to pick that stuff up, the maids are going to open up that room, keep anything of value for themselves, and throw the rest of the shit away. If Chris hasn’t made arrangements for someone to pick up the van for him, it’s getting towed.
