I just want to know what kind of person considers that plate to be a desirable relic. I can't even bring myself to MENTION CwC to my spouse or best friend (who know nothing about him) because the story is so much.

this implies that the weens who would loot sonchu for relics even have people they interact with on a regular basis and I feel like that is overestimating them pretty significantly

I think a lot of you are missing what may be the most dreaded possibilities for Chris. In many states there exists a low security prison for inmates less that 18 months. They set you up with a job that funds the prison. Let's say it's building pallets for 15 an hour. The prison keeps the $4.75 above minimum wage plus $500 a month to allow the premium prison /work release experience.

If Chris gets under 2 years prison he could easily be assigned to work release (even murder convicts get assigned this) and he would be forced to serve manual labor while building his commissary account out of the difference.

Its very possible Chris's ultimate nightmare may come through in the form of a job through the state.

The idea being when he is released he has an income to survive on.
