Christ-ian said:When he actually manages to accept something it usually makes a difference, if only for a while. When he was convinced the sign wasn't a good idea he stopped using it, when he was told to get in touch with his feminine side he went tomgirl, when it was pointed out how he infringed on copyrights he claimed Sonichu was a parody (a belief he held on to right to the end).Holdek said:Since when has this mattered in any other circumstance with him?
So I think it actually does matter from time to time.
Not to be offence but I think your making a classic mistake by putting yourself into Chrissy's shoes and using rational thought to explain his actions.
Chrissy went Tomgirl because it was something he wanted to do, the original suggestion may have started the swap but in the end Chrissy only does things for three reasons.
1. He wants to, for what ever bizarre reason he wants to do it, lacking any real feedback he just runs off of his current desire as long as it doesn't exceed his effort level. ie Tomgirlism
2. Mommy told him too. Barb is the last person in the whole world left who Chrissy will listen too, and then he will only accept her ideas to some extend. ie stop with the sign but not tomgirlism
3. Force. Someone or something put serious real life (go to jail, do not pass Go level of) consequences that he, deep down in that murky brain knows he can't weasel out of. ie Jail time.
That's it, trying to use rational thought patterns to make sense of Chrissy's behaviors will lead you to give him too much credit. Imagine Chrissy as a three year old, he has no real moral system (do what feels good), no real grip on action vs response (autism excuse) and no serious ability to do any self- introspection (exceeds the hurtful truth level)
Honestly, think of him as a spoiled 3 year old in the nobody of a man and everything he does makes sense.
