For now, going by the Occam's razor principle "weens spamming links to the gal-pals" seems the most probable explanation.

Occam's razor, if I had people spamming links to me on Facebook about an autistic kid I pitied in high school wearing women's underwear and making a very unhappy face, I would come to the conclusion that someone had baited him into it. (Which was apparently true anyway.)
Also, if I posted that online to other people who knew and pitied him, in a mocking manner, I'd expect someone to ask "what the hell is wrong with you"?
Also, this only happened some time after Chris started calling one of the Gal Pals a bitch?

I think the order in which the gal pals found stuff out plays a role too. If they had only seen the mom's underwear photo, they might figure this mentally challenged guy was tricked and take pity on him.
