chris is working on a shrek remake collab from 3GI - 11/29 - Full movie is released

I've seen it. I used to work for Cyanide & Happiness and several coworkers animated segments for the collab. When it all came together, contributers had access to a private link for a first glimpse, and we had a big watch party for it. I was floored when CWCs segment came up because I didnt expect it.

Basically he drew out segments like a Sonichu comic and voice over narrated the lines for his scene. It begins and ends with an on camera intro and outro like the regal godking he thinks he is.

The scene is right after Shrek and Donkey defeat the gladiators, when Farquaad tells Shrek about the princess and the castle.

Its decent. There even seems to be an air of self awareness in how he stutters and stammers in how the characters reactions are edited in time with his narration.

Pretty sure it started last year, but how Chris got involved, I don't know. I don't know if he heard about it and applied or if he was approached, I had no idea he was involved until I watched the thing.

Which is impressive that he can respect an NDA, so there's a thought.

But is the editing his doing or something redone by the collab organizer after realizing that Chris's segment is nearly unwatchable?

I love how you have high quality animation and stylized animation rolling past then Chris Chan's childs drawing appears for three seconds.

His non-Sonichu drawings always remind me of John Wayne Gacy's "Seven Dwarfs" stuff. Except Gacy was a better artist.

His drawing of Shrek is decent (at least, if he was 10-12 years old) but the drawing of Donkey is hilarious. It looks like he's morphing into a human or something.
