he is a child and he shouldn't be punished too severely
It could just as easily have been a taser instead of mace. He requires serious consequences, for his own sake if not the community's.

Maybe this could be Liquid's great come back!
Yeah see no. If he's a child then he shouldn't have a drivers license or be allowed to roam the city on his own. If the 'adult autistic child' defense is going to be used seriously again then shouldn't he be treated like a literal child?he is a child and he shouldn't be punished too severely
Is "Sensory Overload" a valid defense in court?
Go for it.I almost want to ask my boss (a lawyer) about how this could play out, but I don't want to sound like a fucking lunatic.
I suppose you could offer a hypothetical "what would you do to defend someone who was obviously mentally ill but still competent to stand trial?" or something, just an idle 'what if?'I almost want to ask my boss (a lawyer) about how this could play out, but I don't want to sound like a fucking lunatic.
"Your honour, I just watched the Red Wedding and had to go out and pepper spray someone from the sensory overload. Also I was eating twinkies."

An ordinary person would, but ChrisOh oh, also, if he mentions being arrested he needs to be very careful because the wrong wording could be considered an admission of guilt. Not that it matters with video evidence already hanging over him, but if he's planning to fight the charges somehow the last thing he needs is to put his foot in it so spectacularly.
I mean, how many people would stick around that long waiting to see what will happen when he comes out?
I'm sorry, but I just can't get over the fact that all of this was caused by SEGA making Sonic's arms fucking blue instead of peach. I thought all of the sperging about it on FaceBook was hilarious, but I can't believe his rage over such a tiny design change has actually landed him in prison! Chris really is the gift that keeps on giving.
He could have just as easily been set off by someone telling him that he's not allowed to use the women's restroom or that he's not allowed to shoplift.
I hope the judge won't let him play the autism card this time.
