Bob paid popular girls to tard wrangle him so he thought it was great. Not sure if that was misguidedly kind or cruel if I'm being honest.
It meant that he missed whatever developmental window he could have learned normal human interactions, or even possibly normal human interactions with females. Whatever chance he had to be even semi-normal went up in flames thanks to Borb.

Did Bob actually pay girls to befriend Chris? It wasn’t trolls pretending to be the girls making this claim? Or unreliable Chris?

I can understand the thought process that might have gone through his head at first, "oh the boy is just shy. Get him talking to some kids and he'll come right out of his shell" but Bob didn't realize that he was fucking over Chris by making it seem like friendships just happen with no effort involved on Chris's part. I wonder if that was the intention at first but when it became obvious Chris wasn't making friends of his own accord Bob kept paying the gal-pals to keep being friends with Chris to give him a semi-normal High School experience.

Like AnOminious said he missed out on a crucial moment in his childhood to learn social skills because Bob was manipulating things in the background. Think of it like a chicken hatching from an egg, it needs to push itself out of the egg on its own so its tough enough to survive and if you open the shell for it then the baby chicken dies. Chris never learned through trial and error how to make friends and socialize because he didn't have to work on it, someone was given money and told to babysit him and listen to him drone on about Sonic and Pokemon.

For what I know, only the e-mail and all the contents where created by the trolls, but in a incredible plot twist, Chris went to ask his mother about that and It happens that the gal-pals being hired was completely real

It's called peaking, ie people "peak in hs" as the joke, but for Chris it's true. Most adults remember fondly their childhood, but they don't want to go back (at least to a delusional) extent. The reason why people are nostalgic for times gone by isn't so much that the time was better, but that they were better and remember that time more fondly. Chris never had a better time than in HS, although in the scheme of things he probably yearns for being a 30+ year old tard in his room because that's better than a jail cell.
People never realize they are in their good times until they are gone, most people are content with remembering them, all while creating new good times, Chris is too immature for that.
And that is a really long winded, but indepth definition of peaking.
I wonder if Chris still wants a reunion, given his current status? Chris is unware of certain things, but he has to be aware that none of his former classmates want to have a HS reunion with him being a near homeless, transwoman who had no successes other than being documented on the net and sexually assaulting his mom.

It was very real; if it weren't for the e-mails (which were fabricated by trolls pretending to be the Manchester High gal-pals), that would have been the one time Chris could have had that ignorant bliss. It really shattered the window of Chris' wholesome thoughts of HS. Then the glass house really was broken when Chris contacted some of the actual gal-pals via FB and e-mail.

I'm surprised (not) that Chris didn't figure it out sooner. I mean not once since graduation did Chris bother to connect with his HS gal-pals for the occasional chit chat? Granted it was the 'tism, but still.

There are probably at least a few of them with a sick sense of morbid curiosity. Also it's not exactly 007 shit to sneak into a high school reunion.

True. Chris can just walk in, but I get the sense it will end up like the time he danced with himself during that Pony Gala and the TMG incident combined.

I know Chris knows what he did was wrong, but I doubt how much he fully grasps the situation and how people perceive it.
I wouldn't doubt if that was one of the situations playing into what seems like competency issues with his trial.

If Chris thought that people would still accept him after this saga, he's more delusional than I thought.

You know, I bet he does. He thinks he can explain that he was “healing her,” and people would go, “Ohhhh, that makes sense, good for you, Christine! Would you heal me next?” He thinks we’re either dumb or just haters.

I used to think he would deny anything happened at all, but then he started the “healing” claims. Like he wants us to think he was doing something positive. :cryblood:

That's been Chris' M.O. since he was discovered. He just had to point out the 'misunderstandings.' "Make an attraction signs that point out no black women"; "My dreams told me to specifically attract white women." Given his Jesus letters, he still talks to people the way he always has. I don't know what it would take to snap him out of it, but it's definitely a bad look no matter how much Chris wants to admit/tries to handwave it off.

I think this "I'm healing her" claim is him realising his life is really fucked up now and he's throwing anything he can out to wriggle out of the mess he made

And of all the excuses, I think it does show he raped barb. He wasn't saying "barb said that she wanted sex" or anything like that, no, he was "healing her" yeah right

Bro I bet Barb won't even testify against Chris so it really doesn't matter.
