Prison Letters Chris writes me from Prison (dated September 19th, 2021)

Jokes aside, I'm not convinced that Chris genuinely thinks he's Jesus reincarnated. I think he's aware of the pop culture trope of "crazy people do stuff like claim they're Jesus" and he's decided to go down the insanity defence route (or more likely, he's heard his defence attorney bring up the possibility of a "diminished capacity" defence in conversation and thought this a suggestion to fake insanity instead of referring to his actual autism).

The reason I lean more towards the "he's faking it" camp is because Chris has never been a particularly religious person, he's never expressed a real interest in Christianity or the Bible until now. Idk, I just don't see someone who isn't already devoutly religious having a delusion like that. If he was claiming he was actually Sonichu then I'd be more convinced.
Hard agree. Chris will be culturally aware of people using an "insanity defence" and "finding Jesus in prison" and in his mind this is what that would entail, simply looking as crazy as possible (let alone becoming Jesus, lol). The coarser points of criminal insanity (even if explained by his attorney) will be completely lost on him.

I can see it going two ways: 1) Chris being a sperg 24/7 and everyone telling him to STFU.
I guarantee this is the CO's stance.
2) Chris is being treated like a jester of sorts, with everyone egging on/playing along with his delusions, for their own amusement
This is a certainty; novel amusements on the tiers come rarely, and he's fresh meat for the prison proselytizers' flock.

All of the smartest people I know write letters confessing to the crimes they are accused of when awaiting trial while in jail.

Jesus Christ Almighty he is only getting more delusional. I don't think he will ever be free again. The "I am Jesus" criminals all end up in padded cells indefinitely.

What a trip :story:

How boring. Only halfway interesting thing here is him still calling her Barbie. I wanted to hear about his experiences in jail.
I was wanting to hear that too, but then I realized, it's probably cleaner than 14 Branchland, they make his own meals, and clean his cell for him.

For it is right to give Chris thanks and praise
