I was thinking about this thread again today, and there are a few more things I'd like to address.

He's actually pretty clever when it comes to some wordplay. Such as taking the handle "Chris-Chan", which sounds like "Christian", or calling Megan "Megantron" in the last FB dump. Of course, that was after he called her a bitch, witch, and traitorous troll who deserved to be beaten and imprisoned . . . :?

His blood is not made of gravy. Also his duck is unbent and has been stretched.

In the infamous :julay: video he really took care of all that dolls needs. Very sensitive, very attentive, very much dominated by half a pound of latex.

He has a knack for bringing people together who would not otherwise meet each other in real life.

This. All joking aside, what I love most about Chris is Christorians.

Somehow, this one weirdo has brought together a group of eloquent, intelligent people. Perhaps at it's core, the CWCiki is mean-spirited, but the thoughtful and insightful analyses of who he is keeps me coming back. If Chris had any idea of the real army he has at his disposal - smart, talented people who actually hang on his every word and want to see him succeed, in any small way - he could rule the world.

That said, I've followed OPL for a long time, and I don't expect anything from him at this point other than lulz, with a heavy dash of disappointment and WTF.

TL;DR: I came for Chris, I stayed for the Christorians. I love you, let's all go to Disneyland.

THIS! I've been trying to find a way to verbalize this for a while but you've done a much better job than I could have. I'm involved with Christory because Chris is a strange, unusual, fascinating and often funny individual. Although I am sometimes angered by the things he does (calling for the death of Mimm's girlfriend and Michael Snyder, followed by his use of the "n" word and homophobia come to mind) I really do hope he manages to find some peace within himself.

Christory is a strange piece of history that's only become possible because of the internet. Chris was, for all intents and purposes, the test subject in a new field of observation and human interaction. It's never been done before and I don't know if it can be replicated.

yeah, we should all go to Disneyland! I mean, even if Chris somehow left the internet for good, this community will still survive, it just has so much going for it to cease to exist just because Chris isn't around. So much friendships have been made and even a few romantic relationships like in my case. The CWCki forums are here to stay.

The only aspect that I genuinely admire about Chris is that he has absolutely no sense of shame whatsoever. If he wants to speak his mind about something, he won't hold back at all. All of his bizarre public antics had to have required serious balls, especially the tomgirl saga, considering where he lives. He never pauses to think about how absurdly he looks, dresses, and behaves, and though that has given him an insanely huge ego, at least he has some pride in how he lives.

Trying to find a positive trait in Chris is very hard, especially since he has many negative traits. Still, if one was to think of what could be considered a positive quality he STILL has or ONCE had then I could say for that latter that he did (sort of) had some determination in making Sonichu despite the horrible art, family-unfriendly content, mary-sue characters, and all the other things within it. For the former, that would be unknown, to me at least.

Even if Chris wasn't good at anything he turned his hand to, he did actually used to be creative. He made stuff in a number of different art mediums such as writing songs, stories, comics, painting, sculpting and more. Now though he seems to have given even that up.

Are you talking about Ruckersville or Charlottesville? Charlottesville is a very liberal college town and a lot of the people who live/study there now aren't originally from the area -- many are from other states or even international. So it's a diverse atmosphere and I believe it to be quite safe for LGBT people. Dressing up as a tomgirl there doesn't seem that dangerous unless you stay out too late at night and wander around in obscure residential areas, drawing attention to yourself. Ruckersville itself might be different since it's a small town, but given that it's so close to a liberal college town, I can't see it being a place where the ultra-conservative "Deep South" mentality is prevalent. Plus, Chris never did his primary socializing in Ruckersville...when he goes out in Ruckersville it's to go to McDonalds, Burger King, Sheetz, etc. People might comment on his appearance or ask if he's gay (as someone once did), but Chris doesn't seem to be in a place where people would physically harm him for his appearance.

Anyway, yeah -- there aren't too many positive traits, but I do have to agree that Chris's shamelessness is a good thing in some cases. A lot of crossdressers struggle to even step outside their apartment door while wearing feminine clothes for five minutes, while Chris is able to easily stroll about town with no sign of embarrassment.

I have got an alternative idea. We should meet in the Nevada desert, present Chris-related psychedelic artwork for several days and burn a huge wooden effigy of Chris on the final night.
