I agree that there is definitely more to the story than we're given, but I can see how Chris would see things this way... from his perspective.

Remember, Chris was treated like a Tard all his life, put in the special classes, his parents threatened the teachers with discrimination suits if they didn't handle him with kid gloves. Honesty, I'm surprised that Chris wasn't on the short bus from Day 1. But, when there eventually was a problem, the first obvious solution from the school's perspective would be to put the kids on separate busses, and the easiest way to do that is to put Chris in with the Tards. This may have been something the school wanted anyway and they just needed an excuse.

Of course, Chris has also been known to act out, verbally and physically, so I'm definitely open to thinking there was chimping on his part too.

That taint post is textbook delusional thinking. Once again, this is a perfect example that Chris has no fucking clue as to how the human body works. Then he goes off and tells gay people to cut their taint open, then proceeds to do exactly that 3 days later...

So what’s the real story here? Some kid punched Chris and Chris is the one to get put on a special bus? That’s not how that works. So Chris must have done something more than just sit there and be punched.

Chris specified that he wanted to be first off the bus very much as well, it's more likely that Chris and this other kid were both trying to run and shove and push to get off the bus first, and eventually that led to them bumping into each other and Chris getting his glasses knocked off. The school looked at the incident and probably had the bus driver give their input, which would amount to "it's two stupid kids that rush to get off the bus fast, of course one bumped the other". When the school realized one of those 2 kids was an autist that really only got through school by being too autistic to actually be expected to do the work correctly, they took that as the chance to separate the two kids into separate buses, where both could rush off the bus first and not have anyone to bump them.

Of course Chris can't look at this as a good thing where he gets his own bus to rush out of every day without competition, he has to have his victim complex and ignore that he absolutely only got into this situation because he wanted to rush off the bus too quickly and got himself hurt over it when another kid wanted the same thing. He could have waited for the other kid to go first and rushed out after that, or just left the bus normally, but instead he had to be first NOWNOWNOW and it got him put in the special bus, where he could get out NOWNOWNOW every day without issue.

It's probably because Chris knows that Barb's apathy is a sign that he'll never breed. In the past they probably wanted him to have kids, and Barb's change of heart is just a sign to Chris that he'll never have childrens

I still don't buy that story that some kid just punched Chris in the face to get off the bus first, compounded by the fact that Chris seems to be the one to face repercussions. I think it's way more likely that Chris chimped out and got put in his place. In fact, I think there's little hints in Chris's childhood that he was occasionally uncontrollable and violent, re: him getting kicked out of schools and the cub scouts to the point where the school board floated the idea of institutionalization.

That's why I'd love to read the autism papers, there's so many foggy little incidents in his childhood. Stuff that he acts like just fell out of the sky, like the whole "held me down and recorded my screams" thing. I'm sure there's more to that story than a group of teachers getting kicks out of torturimg Chris.

The impression I got was that the punching was followed by Chris having a TooManyGames-like meltdown, which the driver reported, and landed him on the shortbus. Of course I may have been reading too much into it...

It's the saddest part about Christory... He was treated differently except when it came to actually helping him.
