Is referring to GP 'safe foods' a thing people with real gastroparesis do? That screams ED to me, especially when the safe food seems to vary depending on the weather. Plus most of the pictures of her 'bloating' are really not that bad from what I can tell. (Exception for the most recent hospital admission - that looked painful).

Edit: I'm not saying she was deliberately purging to the extent of sticking her fingers down her throat, but I there's absolutely something mental going on, even if it's just her convincing herself that X makes her sick.

I don't know anyone with legitimate gastroparesis due to influx of munchies claiming it and my inability to trust anyone who says they have it anymore, but there is a general trend of people with genuine digestive disorders calling certain things "safe foods" because they know they aren't going to react. Like someone with celiac knowing he can eat a banana from any cafe, convenience store, or truck stop anywhere in the country because no matter how shady the place is, as long as the peel is intact there's no way the inner banana was contaminated.

That said, a lot of people with digestive disorders also have eating disorders, either because they're subjecting their GI to things it should not be subjected to (laxative abuse, repetitive forceful vomiting, prolonged starvation) that fucks them up, or because they have some GI problem that has made them afraid to eat/eat a very restrictive diet trying to get relief (The volgger SuperSkip64 who has crohns was down to like 50 lbs a year ago, much of it because he was afraid to eat).

It is entirely possible Jaq was making herself so anxious about eating that she vomited. It's also possible she had no control over it, that it was a somatic disorder that she thought was absolutely real. And it's also possible she was abusing something to make her throw up somewhat on demand – it's really not that hard. Wash down a few Dulcolax tablets with a glass of m.ilk and you'll be hunched over the toilet praying for the sweet kiss of death within an hour.

The bloating and distention was from abusing opiates and anticholinergics until she wasn't able to poop for weeks.

Many doctors will give a specific diet, one that is high in simple starches and low fiber.

Okay... am I the only one who gets really pissed when I don’t poop for the day?? Like I get MAD to the point I’m eating handfuls of dates and shit to make my ass run like a waterfall after a torrential downpour. How the HELL did Jaquie manage to have that much bloat and just ignore it??? I get she was doped up, BUT STILL.

The longer she ignored it the more rare and invasive the treatment for it. Sure, she could have laid off the PKs, eaten some prunes, drank a lot of water, gone for a walk, and taken some miralax or mag citrate if she still couldn't go. Or she could have ignored it until she was so badly impacted she had to have medical intervention that she turned into a prolonged hospital stay with tests and procedures that would shock viewers like a gastrographin enema imaging study.

I look forward to a good BM. Some I imagine look like the Titanic when it was going down for the last time sans little people screaming and a band playing.

Thank god im not alone. I need a shirt similar to the ones that say don’t talk to me before I have my coffee— don’t talk to me before I have my morning shit session, or I’ll cut your face with my constipated colon

Mag citrate....ugghhhh. I've had to chug that shit so many times in the past, and just reading the words made me shudder. I have no positive memories of it, but it was necessary.

I made the mistake of not taking stool softeners for the first week of iron pills. Never knew constipation could make a grown person weep before that. Jaq must have been eating opaietes like skittles to go weeks between shits.

The intro to her YT videos is like the cringest 1980’s sitcom opening produced by some religious channel. I can’t even bare to watch it.

I almost want to edit over the music from the Brady Bunch, but instead use The Jaqi Munch. It’s the story, of a crazy lady..

Jan's posts seem so inappropriate. i.e. May the 4th is forever ruined for her etc. I worry that she has zero empathy or something. she is so very off. if you look into the people who are patrons of both her and Jaq its a pretty sad bunch. they have a captive audience of mostly really vulnerable people i.e. profoundly disabled.

this is all ive got, feel free to improve

Here's the story of a crazy lady
Who was bringing up her breakfast, lunch and tea
She had a dog with hair of gold, and autism
And was obsessed with Disney

It's the story of a Dr Quackbags
Who was busy making money hand on fist
Poking holes in the crazy lady
She should have seen a pyschiatrist

Till the one day when the lady made a YouTube
And a bunch of farmers saw right through her munch
They watched her nurture opiate dependence
Until her feeding tube gave her a sucker punch.
The crazy munch, the crazy munch
The antics of a reckless crazy munch.

Mag citrate is one of those things that you bring home from the pharmacy, put on your counter, and sigh deeply wondering how your life has come to this.

Since we're talking about medically-necessary pooping until you want to die, I consider Henry Rollins' account of his colonoscopy to be mandatory reading before you have one.

The day Jan announces her pregnancy is the day that CPS needs to be alerted. She does not claim to have any fertility issues. Not sure where that issue stands. She does purport to want to have a child.
On a related note why did Jaq's OBGYN allow her to go years without menstruating ?? I was told by an endocrinologist that you can't go for over a year without some type of intervention. The doctor would therefore prescribe progesterone to endue menstruation or a coarse of OC. For doctor's who were supposedly looking out for Jaq's best interest this issue seemed to go unaddressed. It is little wonder the menses she was having was awful if it was 3 yrs in the making. Also, I kind of think it could be a contributing factor in her intestinal catastrophe. A handful of people get diarrhea when they menstruate and bc the process involves hormonal signaling that causes smooth muscles to relax and contract it could have actually been a contributing factor. a period three yrs in the making would be absolutely horrific.

I was under the impression that she was on continuous birth control so she didn't have a period because she was in too much pain from all her other issues so she couldn't deal with that. Did she ever say she stopped taking it contiously or did she forget she told us why she didn't have a period and then tried to pretend it was because she was 'too sick'?

Not a gastroparesis expert, or any doctor at all, but in my experience it's more of a "take your metoclopramide, wait for your stomach to empty, feed as usual" thing than a food trigger thing. And a "take your PPIs and/or cannabis oil as directed" thing. Sample size is a whopping 3 metoclopramide users, but they include both legit POTS (who's symptoms resolved with age and weight gain - get that BMI to 22 and see how you feel, kids) and tube-fed end stage cancer (same food all the time, unlikely to be a trigger).

So yeah, looks like ED to me too. Did she never actually claim gluten sensitivity or anything else that "safe foods" would be more appropriate for?

However, capsules of such taken nightly are a gentle way of promoting regularity in many people, also acting as a sleep aid and muscle relaxant.

I thought she just spontaneously ovulated and got her period. Honestly, I think it was the weight gain. Someone said no she was never thin in response to a post where I said she purged through her G tube. Maybe she was never sickly thin but she was thin enough to meet a certain aesthetic. then they pulled the G tube and she got pudgy. they eat horribly from what was shown in her videos. I never knew she was on continuous OC. I thought she claimed or implied she could not take OC bc she claims puberty basically unmasked all her health problems and the implication is that the estrogen was the culprit.
Anyways I am not positive but I thought she said or it was implied that she got her period bc she was essentially healthier. I was told by an endo you can't go more than a yr without enduing menstruation.

The day Jan announces her pregnancy

do not fucking start a post with those words. I thought you were saying she announced a pregnancy today as in 'isn't it suspicious that the same day she announces her pregnancy, X happens?"

Docs are increasingly laying off hormone therapy (except for troons and kids whose parents want them to be special) because of the increased risk of stroke and heart attack. My doc is unconcerned as long as pts are otherwise healthy/aren't trying to get preggo.

So yeah, looks like ED to me too. Did she never actually claim gluten sensitivity or anything else that "safe foods" would be more appropriate for?

her safe foods included chocolate milk, mac and cheese, and creamy chicken pasta. The only time she was really concerned about gluten, dairy, and common triggers for allergies and intolerances was when she wanted to be on Kate Farms formula.

Here she is berating viewers for trying to tell her her diet was not consistent with her claims and she should try harder.

I don't think Jaq was on metoclopramide. I don't think it is such a popular choice bc it is associated with causing tardive dyskinesia. A lot of GI docs in the US instruct their pt's to order domperidone from Canada. It's first line tx everywhere else in the world.
