Watched an hour of a stream and jesus christ, that UI is needlessly messy. It also reeks of Metaphor 'inspiration' and the graphics themselves look short of an unreal tech demo. I can appreciate indies not having the polish and all, but that UI is tethering on chink slop

I think the UI is mostly fine but the weird vaseline that "helps" you see subtitles and debuffs is really distracting imo and I can't find a way to remove it.

If you can gradient parry an attack it creates a really obvious black and white particle effect. Looks like those locked chests you have to shoot but monochromatic.

I'm unsure of how I may atone for my sins, but let it be known that I will now go gambling, and beat things outside of my bracket through the sheer power that is just winning the 50/50.

There's a picto that does the same thing for defense if you want the ultimate gambling experience.

I've forsaken my crit Lune build for a healer build.
I needed a healer cause I wasn't skillful enough to avoid ALL attacks and God knows that Maelle isn't going to heal for shit.

If anyone in the future is on the fence about buying this game, I'd say to get it. There isn't DEI or woke shit. See:

1. All the black people died in the intro and you never see a single black person after. I don't count the retard rocks because they're rocks that are pretty cool dudes.
2. Literally no one talks about gender, race, or sexuality

10/10 game, would recommend it for anyone who likes RPGs.

I agree whoeheartedly, I don't think the game is for everyone but as someone who finished the game (still doing endgame stuff at the moment), the story hit me really hard on a personal level to the point of me ugly crying at a certain point.

A fucking video game hasn't done that to me since the original NieR so that's definitely a glowing endorsement from me, doubly so with how satisfying the gameplay is.

Just remember to favourite your Luminas and sort by those.
And your sins will only be forgiven if your next post has dubs.

Sciel is actually a good healer and pairs well with Verso in cleaning debuffs.
Verso picks all debuffs on him, Sciel dispells those and propagates buffs.

I have to admit something.
I dropped Maelle and picked Sciel as my 3rd member and I'm loving this dirty gypsy so much, it's unreal.
I've been sleeping on Rush, but it's way better then I gave it credit. Also, Sciel can heal, buff and deal damage like a madman. The only downside is that Dark damage is kinda ass in some areas.

The gates of racist heaven are forever closed to me...

Yeah Sciel was by far my best character she's a quintessential battlemage like late game Tidus in FFX if you build him right.

also if im reading roulette right you have a 50/50 chance of doing less damage and double damage?

The final party member being a Blue Mage brought my rating of this game from an 8/10 to a 10/10. Pure KINO. Also suicide strats are VIABLE.

I might drop Maelle for Lune though because of how much sheer damage she does if you build enough crit on her. I wish there were more crit pictos because the one that makes her kill herself is the best one.

It's funny because there's been a lot of moments where you can see where you would've gotten the gay retard path from another dev. Like when Sciel and Lune are talking about the past and how Lune changed after her parents died. Was expecting some lesbomancy but no, they're just good friends. What a novel concept! Sciel's backstory about her husband dying and trying to kill herself and losing her baby and the regret about that was also unexpected and well done.

Just got the blue mage. He's actually really fun, just wondering if he there are some bosses with moves you can miss. Also that fucking Getting Over It beach challenges, the devs really make you sweat for the fanservice.

Overall the game is fantastic, I liked is has black characters in the prologue only to discard them by the time gameplay happens. Kinda wish for more characters though since I like meshing the modern autistic RPG mechanic with hands on battle system

I tried to play on hard but normal is good enough difficulty wise.

It really is the Dark Souls of RPGs.

Forget that math shit, it doesn't matter. Sometimes you hit big number, and that's all that matters. The pure dopamine hit of hit an enemy with a great big 9999 on an attack that really shouldn't do that much is why you run Roulette.
