This controversy is kinda gay and just an attempt to keep the Divinity hate train going. Them using and deleting AI stuff as placeholders was known way back when the game came out it wasn’t a secret(and these judges are poser faggots for not knowing about that) and since it was only ever placeholders it shouldn’t matter.

Divinity using AI for straight up concept art is a terrible idea as everything they use it for will end up influencing and sloppifying the art direction.

i don't know what this divinity is but it sounds really gay

You can dislike a game and AI or whatever, that's fine. Revoking a gaming award it received due to generative AI being used for placeholder assets that were ultimately removed before the game released though is unbelievably petty.

I saw this game multiple times in the past. I am curious what is about, how long it is and if people recommend it for people who haven't played an rpg in a long while.

It’s a turn based rpg where you can actually parry and dodge during the enemy’s turn to not take damage. If you get really good you can do whole fights with zero damage taken. The story’s really well done and the soundtrack is phenomenal.

It also has a super creative equipment system which looks simple at first but gets absolutely crazy the farther you get in. Really just a unique experience all around. If you absolute cannot do turn based combat though you may not like it.

My one gripe is you can't knock enemies out of their combos. That was the one thing I miss from the original parry slop, Primeval and Lost Dark Souls (I haven't played Demon's Souls and no one ever mentions parrying in it).
because some of them go on fucking forever and kill you in one hit, which leaves me watching them slash at air for half a minute

Yeah it is kinda weird how if you fuck up parrying
Simon
and get one-shot he’ll continue 12 hit comboing nothing in front of your body.

you hate clair obscur for using AI
I hate it because it was made by baguette faggots
We are not the same
I hate it bcause the story is holey af AND it's made by baguette fags.

The same award show slammed a game called Chantey because it was published by ModRetro (makes a cool gameboy handheld and physical carts) whose founder is a conservative tech bro and also started the Andruil drone company that contracts with the army. The award show is pozzed as pozzed can be with categories like Best Southast Asian game and shit.

Question, if a game uses frame generation is it disqualified for using AI?

The French made this? I’ve only seen snippets but I assumed it was Japanese given the aesthetic and JRPG feel at a glance. I once had a French car. Piece of shit, but it had personality with its tiny steering wheel and constant attempts to kill itself by design. Does this game have any unquestionably French design choices?

The soundtrack prominently features singing in French, there are a lot of aesthetic influences from the Belle Époque period of France and the family the whole game centers around is French.

Who really cares if you get an award from Redditors revoked. The studio made millions and sales will continue because it's a decent game, not because Reddit said they liked it.

In 2025, it says nothing.
On one hand, japs love fetishizing yurop. The Japanese visual novel The House in Fata Morgana has eurofaggot characters including French protagonists, the only Jap is an irrelevant savage foreigner who goes on a murder spree because he hit his head too hard and forgot how to speak European. All the songs are inexplicably in Portuguese (written and performed by japs).
On the same hand, whytoids often hate their culture and think foreigners are exotikkk and kool, it usually takes a cultural grant of some sort for a eurofaggot to make a eurofaggot gayme.

Hating on AI is the new "current thing" for the left, another pathetic attempt by climb up the Marxist grievance ladder by virtue signalling your dislike for LLMs.
Get raped, solzhenitsyn. While AI is indeed anti-Marxist, because it displaces the human in the creative process (Three Steps to Danger is a notable anti-AI sci-fi book published in 1969 that predicted all the current year massdebates), if generative AI stole your "job", it means that was not a job at all and you belong in the labor camp.

Apparently Blue Archive, the game that was given the award after they disqualified E33, ALSO used AI, so it’s extra retarded.
1. It's Blue Prince.
2. They deny it.
3. If they used it, they didn't get caught yet.

Dont care if AI was used for placeholders, this game still fucks.
Really curious why people enjoy e33 but not other games that used active turnbased combat, ie. South park, or the obvious as fuck notion of copying persona. Surprising there's no social links. Everything about the game screams 7/10 and the art direction is unreal tech demo.
