I've been kinda out of the loop for a while. I've tried to figure out what's been going on and this is what I've pieced together so far:
1. Palestinians (Hamas) fired rockets from the Gaza strip into Israel.
2. Israel started firing missiles into Gaza.
3. Israel sent soldiers into Gaza
4. Palestinian groups are now attacking Israelis.
Did I get this right? Also what was the cause of the rockets being fired in the first place?

From what I’ve seen, this is what happened.

1. Israel attacked a bunch of worshipping Muslims during Ramadan
2. Hamas starts firing off at Tel Aviv, most get domed but some go through and don’t do much damage cuz they’re the shit rockets
3. Mixed cities like Lod start to enter riot mode, with citizens of both ethnicities “taking the law into their own hands.”
4. IDF fires back, supposedly killing key members of Hamas and ironically financial institutions. Most deaths are not corroborated by Hamas but they aren’t disputed either.
5. This continues until Hezbollah takes a few shots in, Lebanon “gov” claims they apprehended them but that was quickly proven false. No further action as of yet.
6. IDF contemplates running in, people misunderstand this. They have NOT done ANY ground attacks, said so themselves.
7. Russia says for Israel to give Palestine their land back and Egypt warned Israel not to invade Gaza. They are currently helping take wounded for treatment in Cairo.
8. Hamas moves to some big boy rockets and (worthless) homemade drones, aiming for the Iron Dome’s batteries.

That’s all I know so far.

There hasn't been too much discussion of that in here yet, I don't think. My bets are Israel invades and Syria starts bombing Israel, Israel shuts down the bombs but has massive unrest, and the US bombs Iran for reasons.

If I'm remembering correctly, the tension actually started a bit earlier when some retarded Palestinian teens decided to start a tiktok trend of recording themselves assaulting Haredi men in the streets, and Lehava, a radical, fringe Jewish religious group, used it as an opportunity to march through the streets acting retarded themselves.

That sounds like a fair and reasonable take on the escalation. The fringe Jewish group and the right-wing Israeli nationalists they support gain a lot from escalation, though, so the main question is if the mosque raids did anything to stop that tiktok trend, or if it was punitive, or intended to cause further rioting.
It strikes me that Jews are seemingly serial litigants in every country except Israel, where they prefer rubber bullets instead.

You've got it a little mixed up. It's chronologically more like this:
1. Palestinians, being the niggers of the Middle East, were not paying rent.
2. Israelis, being the jews of the Middle East, were having them evicted over it.
3. Hamas, being the nigger gangsters of the Middle East, saw the opportunity to dickswing the PLO, the nigger faggots of the Middle East, out of power.
4. Also Palestinians, being the niggers of the Middle East, shot fireworks outside of Al-Aqsa mosque that caught a tree on fire. This made all the sand niggers think that the Jews had finally decided to torch the mosque.
5. Under a fervor of niggerdom from thinking their mosque was burning, Israeli Arabs began torching Synagogues and attacking random jews in response.

Israel has a nuclear stockpile of unknown quantity so any operation against it would have to be swift and final, the range of Israeli nuclear missiles is unclear as well and they're kind of close enough to maybe hit Moscow, even. It's a dangerous game of chicken, and no one wants to be the one to bite the bullet.
The problem is that most of the listed powers, Turkey, Russia, and Egypt, will probably "hit Israel" by making everything worse for everyone else but Israel until the constant tap of foreign aid is turned off. Matters most for Europe, who are already pretty ambivalent about Israel at this point anyway.

Hamas' stated goal since the second round of rockets has been a cessation of bombings, and Israel hasn't actually (to now) tried stopping. I can't imagine Israel would allow Hamas to wear down the Iron Dome, so they likely believe they're winning the battle of attrition.
Hamas has a rocket stockpile est. 30k in total, no telling how overblown that is, but I doubt they're "all-in" yet. I don't think their ground resistance in Gaza would be very compelling because it is mostly urban with too much accessible infrastructure, the IDF is well equipped and they could clear most of the buildings that are still standing from the top down before moving in. Their newest trick was the ATGM sites they slipped across the borders, but Israel already took those out yesterday.
