Clashes between Jews and Palestinians in Jerusalem. Israel now invading Gaza according to (Questionable) Reports - If your thoughts are "I don't like either" you don't need to fucking post because it's been said 100 times you fucking dullard

Most Jews don't even know that shit exists in the Talmud. If you even mentioned this shit they wouldn't have the foggiest fucking clue what you were talking about. There's nearly 3,000 pages of that bullshit and they routinely contradict each other. Just walk up to any random Jew and tell them they believe Jesus is being boiled in semen in Hell and see them look at you like you're fucking retarded, which you are.

Most Jews don't even believe in Hell at all, much less that Jesus is there.
IIRC, the Talmud is a hot mess of opinions from a clusterfuck of random rabbis. Think of it like compiling a bunch of different evangelical sermons and including the most batshit insane rants of backwater fundie preachers. Ones like Ovadiah Yosef (the "Gentiles are subhuman cattle" guy) would be the equivalent of Fred Phelps.

One person was burned by this.

There's a very good argument that Hamas won this war.

Look, I hate to argue politics on the internet. Certainly the farms are not the most productive forum for discourse. But I will say that TOI as a whole, and this article in particular, are exemplary of the total detachment of the liberal-zionist, Anglo oriented community (think Baka residents) from the actual issues at hand:
But when Palestinians or Muslims attack Jews in New York and Los Angeles, and when mixed Jewish-Arab cities in Israel go up in flames, the heads of Hamas can certainly celebrate. As for the destroyed houses, the piles of rubble in the center of Gaza City, they know that Qatari money will help finance reconstruction, and that the Netanyahu government will allow that money to continue to flow.
What really bothers the writer? Not the dozens of cars burned in Lod. Not the Jewish man who was murdered there. Not the families that had to flee due to Arab mobs shooting at their apartments while the police do nothing. Not the events that every Hebrew Telegram channel and Whatsapp group were chronicling. That he obscures under the label of "mixed cities going up in flames". (I suppose that's at least better than explicity pushing the trash "both sides" narrative that the j*ournos at outlets like his have been doing .) What he does care enough to detail is what he thinks will play well for hasbara to other liberals - keyboard Zionists living in the US that got beat up because they decided they needed an Instagram pic of how brave they were confronting pro-Palestinians in Times Square.

For guys like this, Israel bombing empty highrises in Gaza while in the process killing hundreds is an absolute moral necessity, and if you criticize that, you're literally Hitler. But heaven forbid Jews be free to pray on the Temple Mount - that would provoke the Islamic world and light the Middle East on fire.

It's not even the hot take about Israel being the loser here that really bothers me. Most of the "retarded right" here, to borrow a phrase from Aryeh Deri's son, believes that too, and opportunists like Yair Lapid are happy to play to the retarded liberals and write long FB posts about how a left-wing government would really show Hamas who's boss. I agree that Israel "lost the war" in the sense that the political leadership has again failed to learn the lesson that constantly appeasing internal Arab violence shows weakness and just gives them, and Hamas, Hezbollah etc. the courage to escalate things externally. The author completely ignores this. It's as if Gaza exists in a vacuum and this wasn't the totally predictable result of domestic anti-escalation polices that he supports. I guess I'm just frustrated that the "pro-Israel" camp in the English language media is dominated by cucked Anglo Jews who achieve nothing but (unfortunately) confirming antisemitic stereotypes.

Not really. I don't think there's a perfect Christian analogy for his role, but he was (and still is) extremely highly regarded among religious Israelis, and is beloved to Mizrahim in particular. Not defending his take here, but it's probably more equivalent to if John Paul II had dropped the n-bomb.

Normal day at Al Asqua Mosque.

All these people are mocking Israel within hours of them calling off their attacks. Israel can smash these countries and by the grace of god they do not.

The Iranians and Palestinians give American leftists a run for being the most sore winners in the world.

Unfortunately, as a new Oleh with limited hebrew experience until I finish Ulpan, this is the only real paper i have that's somewhere in the middle and available in English. Arutz Sheva is very right wing and often doesn't source their stuff well while Haaretz is a bunch of Kapos. If you could recommend something, that would be great because while I do need to practice my hebrew, news articles take an insane amount of time to read when you don't have the vocabulary and they don't have nekudot. Out of curiosity, which party do you support? I voted for Likud in the last election.

Sadly there aren't really any good news outlets in English. I think Jpost used to be a right-wing paper, but that's certainly not true nowadays. Yisrael Hayom has an English website that might be worth checking out, though the Hebrew paper has a reputation as a pro-Bibi mouthpiece. Ynet seems to be the default "centrist" choice here (I've never read it so I can't speak to that), and they have an English version, but it's probably just a discount version of ToI.

I voted for Religious Zionism, although my political views are a bit more pragmatic than Smotrich's. I don't care for Ben-Gvir and his crew, and Noam is genuinely wacky. But I do think we need to fight back against the cultural Overton window being shifted any further than it already is, and that's really their raison d'etre.

E: I haven't personally seen one way or the other Israel/Palestine support locally. I think the hicks here just plain don't give a fuck, and rightly so.
