Anyone else play this? I love the custom songs. I can play shit that guitar hero never even dreamed of adding.

I got my controller at a garage sale but im sure you can find one on ebay or goodwill for under 100. Just make sure it's USB. I'm not sure wireless works unless you use some special bs program that I don't really trust.I've been considering getting back into the old rhythm games I used to play, but all my knowledge is so out of date. Can you buy decent third party controllers these days? Doubt I'd be able to find a new copy of Rock Band at not-extortionist prices
Eh, I was hoping to avoid secondhand stuff. What originally kicked off this idea was stopping by a used games store and looking at the specialty controllers. I wound up getting a barely used ps3 logitech wheel, but all the rock band instruments were fucking maimed. I made a mental note to look around and see if I could buy something new, and promptly forgot about it entirely until I saw this thread.I got my controller at a garage sale but im sure you can find one on ebay or goodwill for under 100. Just looked on ebay, can confirm as low as 20 bucks
I got my version from the website, is there any new features in the "current build"?It's really fun fiding obscure shit or just songs that would never have any business being in a Guitar Hero game, but what really pisses me off is that their current builds are locked behind their Discord server, as well as custom skins for it. I swear I never had any luck finding custom skins outside of dozens of servers.
I wouldn't know, I'm also using the same version. I'm guessing it's just bug fixes, better mod and controller support, maybe custom songs aswell. From what I've seen on youtube both versions look identical.I got my version from the website, is there any new features in the "current build"?

If you're looking for a "guitar", check Facebook marketplace, local secondhand shops, and garage sales. Best place to find one.I recently got into playing it. Previously I downloaded Guitar Hero Metallica for the Wii Dolphin emulator but kept getting latency issues. Then I read a comment saying "why not just play Clone Hero". It's a pretty sweet game. I like being able to play all the classic songs I remember from Guitar Hero in a single game I can add custom highways/videos to.
Kinda sucks that the original Xplorer guitar controllers are as expensive as they are.
What's double strumming?Just started getting in to Clone Hero and have a robust (~2000) song library. I'm rusty as shit though, anyone have any recommended charts for learning how to double strum again?
Being able to alternate strumming (up, down) rather than just smashing it down with the speed of a thousand suns. It results in better accuracy for most songs and also helps not break your controller. What's double strumming?
Monkey Wrench. Pretty easy rhythm to double strum.Just started getting in to Clone Hero and have a robust (~2000) song library. I'm rusty as shit though, anyone have any recommended charts for learning how to double strum again?
I bought a decent Aerosmith Wii Les Paul on FB Marketplace, bought an adapter and havent had issues. Strum bar tended to stick a bit when strumming up, cleaned some gunk out and havent had issues since. Thanks for the song suggestion, I'll give it a shot!Monkey Wrench. I'd be surprised if any of the original GH controllers still work considering how many hood nigga resolders mine has gone through.
Didn't know there was a name for that. Yeah I was trying to the same.Being able to alternate strumming (up, down) rather than just smashing it down with the speed of a thousand suns. It results in better accuracy for most songs and also helps not break your controller.
