Closing Logos Group / CLG Wiki - Spooky scary TV logos! (NIGHTMARE FACTOR)

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This tone reminds me of a guy who got mad when people moved to Discord when it was the hot new thing, and trickling out of the ventrilo server he had been paying for. Sorry, was the real money you spent not worth the years of powertripping & being able to kick people from channels?

It's almost like he wasn't hosting the site for its own sake but to get to be King Shit of Autism Mountain.

This logo is infamous in the Closing Logos community for scaring young children in the 1980s/90s. Palace Pictures originally distributed horror titles, and so had an appropriate logo (which was the one above) but then they later branched out into children's titles. The company didn't update its logo however to reflect this (at least not immediately) and so this led to a group of children (all of whom are now young adults) who, upon renting family friendly titles such as The Snowman, were somewhat traumatised.

If they're children under 10, I can understand being scared at a closing logo. But, the community consists of literal manchildren (between teens to their 40s) which comes as no surprise. I mean sure before I was 10, I was creeped out by either the MGM logo and the THX logo (one for the purpose of being afraid of lions and having the thought that it would come attack me and the latter being aggressively loud). By that point, I've overcame my fears by the time I was 10 and thought they were not real and therefore they were nothing more than just symbols.

Look, it's okay to fear at something. But, being in the age range between 20s-40s and still fearing over something stupid like closing logos as if say, Screen Gems, was the real-life Babadook, is beyond stupid. What qualifies as scary to the CLG logo community? I really want to know.

I known about the so-called "LogoKids" for years, it's a bizzare autistic fascination with weird shit and the only thing I can describe is that either they're attracted to it because "purrdy colours" or being traumatized over the THX intro blasting the sounds of an nuclear bomb into your ears, being interested in logos is "ok" in normal standards and as normal as liking a color, flag, painting or pattern but when it's life consuming like most of these man children do then it's basically utter chaos.

I think logokids are pretty tame at least in the visible majority as some do archive them for the sake of them not becoming "lost media" or whatever but the rest are usually people who tie into the Goanimate or "Grounded" community bullshit that's been on going for nearly a decade now.

Logopedia is one of those strongholds of the said communities, I once visited it for the sake of simply trying to research some vintage stuff and I find some sperging happening in the forum because someone got their account suspended for posting Poképorn on their profile.

CLG is a absolute dumpster fire, at least Logopedia tries to be within wikipedian like standards but it still has a overall community of man children not handling opinions or basic TOS of the host or website, when I took a look at CLG the entire sites layout is absolute shit and It seems they moved to be hosted on a miraheze server as the original site seem to close down like some mentioned above.

Damn, I used to Know Garrett Simmers on Skype back in like 2015, he was as loud as everyone thought he was, he'd constantly ask me questions, he'd show his face more than once and he was kinda annoying.

The Last time I was in Contact with him was when he had a Discord Account, which he Deleted sometime in January of 2018.

No, I didn't know him because I had the same interests as him, I was literally added to a random group and it just got "eh" from there.
Update: Somehow, he's still active on discord, though i do not know his current account.
