and now they attack entire organizations and making them crazy.

Most recent, and what spurned this thread, is CNN losing their shit over a wrestling meme, then threatening to dox a rando if he didn't apologize

Imagine if people started dropping fake names and CNN has to come out and correct the name.

Or someone else leaks the name while CNN keeps quiet, making it look like CNN secretly allowed the name to be leaked while promising not to.

CNN's only winning move was to not play. They never should have announced they got a hold of his name. Now that people know CNN has the name, if it leaks in any way CNN gets the blame.

i think the only other thing they can do at this point is update the story to make it clear that they will not release the name under any circumstances. that way if it comes out they can claim that it wasn't their direct doing. if they play by their own shitty rules and continue to blackmail the guy, they lose. changing them now isn't enough to mitigate the PR fallout of course but it's probably the best they can do.

yeah but cnn is fake news and i hate them more than i hate tards on the internet who don't hide their shit and then get doxed and then whine about it.

basically cnn is hitler and the kid in no way made himself easy to identify so therefore fuck cnn.

nobody cares how much you hate cnn.

edit: grammar

Lol, this is about as Pyrrhic as a victory gets. This is the length CNN must go to to get a win in this timeline- pick out and clumsily intimidate some random shitposter on T_D, and then brag about it. It's a fitting coda to a downward spiral that's seen them rage about ice cream scoops, Barron's T-shirts and twitter gifs.

It would have been nicer still had HanAssholeSolo told them to fuck off, but then there wouldn't have been this bizarre occurrence of a global 'news' outlet strutting and preening about its victory over a lone redditor from a small town somewhere.

It's easy to spread "misinformation" when the only information available is only available to you, Andrew Kaczynski, and you can deny it all you want without ever having to prove a thing.

Why should anyone believe Andrew Kaczynski anyway? He claims that HanAssholeSolo called back and apologized, and that they never threatened him, why not post some proof of it?

All we have is the word of this Buzzfeed hack who says he had a phone conversation with the person in question. The same hack was also involved in wrongly doxxing a person as a Boston Bomber, in a twitter post, and said person killed himself. Does he really seem like a reliable source of information?

Surprised this guy's name hasn't come out yet to be honest. When it does, CNN are going to get the blame for it. Good, because they are idiots.

How could CNN possibly fuck up this badly responding to Trump's tweet? All they had to say was "Why the fuck is the POTUS looking for memes on Reddit when he should be running the country?" That's a completely legit point and they would have come out looking better than him. There's a hundred better responses to this than threatening to dox some T_D shitposter.

C'mon, you already know the answer to this.
