I found a few good JC clips. Oscar Son of Satan is a self-proclaimed demon who would call in and taunt JC to debate him, but it never materialised beyond a brief confrontation. Ian Punnett had an Antichrist line and a caller named Les called in and claimed to have been offered a deal from The Devil to be the Antichrist but he rejected it, JC called in to confront him.

Whitley Strieber wrote a book called the Communion which is his first hand account when he was visited by aliens. These are my favorite interviews with Whitley Strieber, these interviews were with Art Bell on Dreamland and Dark Matter. The latter being the better one since this was after the South Park episode that made fun of him.

It is a good episode, Whitley gives greater detail in his experience with encountering aliens and the outcome from being abducted, he also mentions the movie that was made about his book, at some point he gets mad when he talks about the South Park guys and how he wanted to sue them but his lawyer told him they made too many changes to the episode for him to bring his case to court.

For context Whitley Strieber is the one who is credited with aliens anal probing their abductees in his book Communion that was turned into a movie with Christopher Walken playing Whitey Strieber.

Dreamland 11/19/1995 broadcast, Art Bell talks with Whitley Strieber about his book Communion.

Dark Matter 10/01/2013, Art Bell talks with Whitley Strieber about how it started and how its going.

I have never heard of Art Bell or Coast to Coast. I see there's a vault, any suggestions on topics to listen to? Should I listen chronologically?
Ghost to Ghost and Friday night open lines are great episodes it is what made me a fan.

If you are interested in EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) which is recording ghost voices, GIS (Ghost Investigator's Society) Barbara McBeath and Brandon Cook are great episodes. If you like the subject of exorcisms, the episodes with Father Malachi Martin.

Art Bell talks to ufologist Jim Dilettoso about the Men In Black. I have heard the Shadow People episodes were good, Harley "SwiftDeer" Reagan on 4/12/2001 and Dr. Morgan Spence 05/31/2001. Gabriel The Mercenary on 05/17/2002 is about a guy claiming to be a mercenary, its a ridiculous work of fiction but entertaining nevertheless.

Linda Moulton Howe is the one I was thinking of too. I thought she was interesting because she dedicated her life in researching and doing personal interviews with witnesses regarding UFOs, alien abductions, crop circles and cattle mutilations. Regardless of if the truth is out there, I admire her passion.

I really enjoyed the GIS playing their EVPs, don't care if its fake it was really fun to listen to while working. Brendan was kind of a prick in a weird way. Didn't listen to the one with him and Jimmy Chunga.
My first exposure to Art was from GTA. Very funny parody.

Streiber's story is still wild. I know "haha, anal probing is funny" but he talks about it like a serious assault and seems genuinely disturbed by it. Regardless of the truth, I think something untoward happened to his asshole.
He wrote a second book after Communion, that’s a sequel to it. The title of it is Transformation: The Breakthrough. I borrowed it from my public library, last year.
He mentioned what sounded like sleep walking a few times, out into surrounding forests of his house.

Even if you don’t believe him on the alien bits, pyschologically the man was going through something. He’s still making his way to going to the Contact In The Desert conventions, but I don’t know for how long. Life circumstances prevent me from going this year, but I would like to go next year. Hopefully he’ll still be there. He would be interesting to talk to.

You do realize that alien abductions line up almost identically with fae abductions?
I've noticed that too. There's a weird, sort of uncanny similarity between abductions done by aliens and ones done by the fair folk. Even some of the descriptions sound really grey-ish to me.

This clip is from Art Bell's show Midnight In The Desert where he gets a call from somebody who said he once drove to his house, Art was understandably creeped out. There was a series of events at the time that caused Art to quit his radio show.

To summerise what the article said, Art's house was shot at while he was on the air, then again from a separate incident while he was outside. On another occasion he saw somebody looking around his house before they ran away, all of these incidents happened at night.

The final incident was when he received a call from a blocked number threatening to murder his family if he continues broadcasting. He announced he was going on a hiatus until the guy terrorising him was caught. The police closed the case, it was never solved.

In the past on Coast to Coast during open lines Art would get callers saying they went to his house. I read several stories over the years where people said they would go to his house, some saying they talked to him in person and that he was pleasant to talk to.

I imagine Art would be nice when he has strangers showing up to his house and not wanting to cause any conflict by offending them by telling them to leave.

The parasocial relationships radio personalities have with their audience are examples of the worst kind. Where you got hours dedicated to talking about anything to avoid silence, they often get real personal with their audience by talking about intimate details about their lives. So the audience might feel that when they meet them in person they are talking to a friend and not understanding that there are boundaries that need to be respected.
