I had an adult IQ of 158 at the age of 14. Verified and everything - one of the top 2500 in total, including adults, in the UK.

Also, it's quite common for smarter people to have less or slightly slower social maturity, or even more broadly, less savvy or experience in navigating and negotiating interpersonal interactions. I've known a few grown men whose first sexual experiences were at around 11/12, with grown women.

I'm thinking of 2 in particular. Both of them claimed to be fine about the early sex and that they were into it at the time, though at least one recognized it was fucked up and that it fucked them up later on.

In their adulthood and at least through their 40s and probably still, they were/are highly-to-hypersexual, daredevil (extreme sports, exhibitionism, etc.), crazy-fun-but-kind-of-crazy, and had alcohol and drug issues (for one, a freezer full of weed and asking the doc for a liver check, but highly functional; and for the other, a year in jail and a felony record, multiple arrests and fist-fights, and a proclivity for disappearing for days - not even dvt slowed him down, really).

Both were highly intelligent and actually very socially adept - super-charmers. Old ladies, male peers, women, children; in business and personally. Always on. Both vain and druvs/alcohol aside, took care and pride in appearance and fitness. One was traditionally educated and successful and is an MD making 7 figures, has been twice-divorced, couple of kids excelling in life. The other, never married afaik, dropped out of college, and after a felony conviction had limited opportunities so eventually started his own business (having, I suspect, based on character, stolen proprietary info from a friend) which I have no idea how it is doing because he's always smoke and mirrors, but I do know it has been in business, has employees, etc., nearly 15 years now (thanks to unrepaid loans seed money from suckers who are definitely not me). So, winning by certain measures.

Both have a complicated relationship with truth and honor, in different ways. One has at least one lifelong friend and the other incinerates every bridge, eventually. Both are emotionally vampiric and figure that boundaries are just a matter of time. Both tend to be superficial if they can, but are driven and very, very canny. One is a more obvious flimflam artist than the other, but they both exploit people to get ahead. On the surface, where they compulsively dwell 98% of the time, it's very shiny and bright. Always upbeat, funny, energetic, up for a good time.

And both of them cry about their mothers in the wee hours.

I would say that there's a "Dunning-Kruger" effect to that rule-following part. It's not as big, out here on the wild end of the Bell Curve.

The problem is, there's so many frauds that the Bell Curve itself is misinterpreted. The sum total of 145 and above is 1/1000 - if you picture these numbers as height among men, you would find that the equivalent height to 145 is 6'7 and I would be 6'10.

The same is true in both - you do not find many healthy people over 6'7. There's a huge risk of heart attacks, osteoporosis, and oftentimes the height is the result of a deadly condition.
