According to Chuck Dixon, Richard often already sits on finished comics and doesn't release them. I suspect the money is now so small for his projects that paying artists is no longer practical.

And for that reason, he doesn't need to banish Narwhal. He alienated him. Why work with an asshole on comics that won't be released when you can work with Millar on comics that will instead?

We’re already at a point where just buying the comics (even on solid sales) isn’t enough to keep an office going. These companies have to license their IP’s to either break even, or excel (MCU/DCU peaks, video games, officially licensed merch, etc.).
If it’s just go to the comic store, with increasingly less Western comic offerings btw, or pirate, they’re dead.

Unfortunately for comics, I don't think comic books are what is driving color eReader growth.
I enjoy reading comics on them, mostly compilations like collections of The Goon and old E. C. Comics, but then I am an "unc" in Richard's cosmology of evildoers. Richard's answer to complaints about comics being overpriced is, "They are all available for free on your phone," which is such a wonderful business model for the comics industry. I do think color eReaders and tablets could provide a new business model for comics and I think eventually some form of comics will become an important part of their content. Richard won't be part of that, he'll continue to be a sad Internet crackpot.

The book as sold by him really can't be done at all. His original idea involved copying or creating derivative artwork from the contents old marvel comics. He claims now that this thing called ---- copyright --- was a total surprise to him.
Minus any content using marvel & DC copyrighted artwork, all he could produce is a sort of textual novel talking about the contents of old comics.
I'm sure he can't do a refund because he already spent most of the money.

Early on she had a fairly solid reputation for fulfilling at least through Jack the Ripper 2, funding in early 2023 and fulfilling in 2024.
She got in over her head with Gemshock and the Pitt Scamnibus. She could handle sending out 400 flat gemini mailers from her house like JtR2, but Gemshock especially was way too big a campaign with too much extra stuff.
I think between production and shipping the scaling isn't working out how she thought it would and she doesn't know what to do. Plus she still has to stream constantly and tard-wrangle Dale with pics of her clam

Honestly, that looks like it is just the Japanese word for comic book, which also originally meant books of whimsical illustrations. Did Richard discover some lost Japanese ancestry we are unaware of, or did he decide the term comic book is too uncool for school? Or (most likely) is he just trolling manga fans to get hate clicks? We may never know.
