winner. That one big hit in the bottom left may have stuck, but most of his shit is low triple digits.
As we posted that Doomsday Clock #9 has slipped all the way from the beginning of January to the beginning of March, it seemed inevitable that Doomsday Clock #10, scheduled for the end of March would also slip.
Optimistically however, DC Comics is listing it as only slipping a week, from the 27th of March to the 3rd of April. Four weeks after the scheduled date of Doomsday Clock #9.
Do you believe them? Your call of course, and for a comic book called Doomsday Clock, there are all sorts of meta-narratives about the payoff being late. And to stop it from feeling too conspicuous, Electric Warriors #5 is also slipping a week, from the 13th to the 20th….

The backlash made the early fan press scene and create enough bedlam, that Claremont was given the following year's Avengers Annual to "fix" it: granted, the solution made more problems (Claremont depowering Carol to prop up Rogue as a new big bad, which he promptly abandoned out of the blue in favor of making Rogue a good girl nearly three years later let alone the fact that Rogue's power stealing gimmick only permanently stole Carol's and not the rest of the Avengers was considered hackery). The ending of the issue, had Carol (her memories haphazardly restored by Xavier) be reunited with the Avengers, at which point Claremont "addressed Avengers #200 and Carol being raped. Claremont retconned that Carol was still under Marcus's mental control the entire time she was pregnant with him and after he gave birth. As such, when Carol left with Marcus, she was still his thrall and he effectively made her go with him against his will.
How many times has Doomsday Clock been delayed now? This event started in 2017 and they're still only at 8 issues. How are you supposed to market that when other plot arcs have to move forward and come out on time?Delayed... again:

It was supposed to be a monthly title, then it got delayed into a bi-monthly title and now there's a 3 month wait period for the next issue. By issue 11 we'll be on a bi-yearly time table. How many times has Doomsday Clock been delayed now? This event started in 2017 and they're still only at 8 issues. I never understood the (limited) fan outrage over Rogue permanently stealing Carol's Ms. Marvel Powers. For those that knew Ms. Marvel's origins it actually made sense. Carol's powers weren't natively hers. They were an overlay of Mar-Vel's of sorts accidentally cut and pasted onto Carol by some Kree Machine exploding. Rogue's powers functioned similarly to the Kree Machine hence she could unintentionally undo or alter what it had done.
Here's another video that this Anti-Social Media guy made regarding comics and SJWs. Although, this video is mostly about him bitching about Steven Crowder saying how killing people with a high-heel shoe from the film Atomic Blonde is unrealistic.
I feel bad for the comic shops. DC has pretty much killed the momentum this event had. People used to get hyped up and speculate about the button, Dr Manhattan, and all that all of the time and even though I still don't agree with Watchmen officially crossing into the canon, I was following the theories. Now, I honestly forgot it existed until you posted that articleIt was supposed to be a monthly title, then it got delayed into a bi-monthly title and now there's a 3 month wait period for the next issue. I keep thinking Doomsday Clock is done until someone posts that it's delayed (again). I wonder if anyone working at DC will one day explain what is really going on with this book as I bet the story there is more interesting than the shit in their actual books.I feel bad for the comic shops. It's weird how much damage they've done the Carol as a character over the last few year sanding away her personality traits to make a shitty superman knock off that I don't even really connect the two characters anymore

Two rumors are floating around:
1. The artist is super freaking late and Geoff won't allow fill-ins because he sees Doomsday Clock as his magnum opuses and as such, it has to have the same artist all the way through
2. DiDio stabbing Geoff in the back by greenlighting Bendis's Superman run, Metal, and Heroes In Crisis (which killed Wally West off); has led to Geoff having to rewrite huge parts of Doomsday Clock. Either to remove Wally from the final act of the book (due to HiC killing him off) or to allow HiC and Bendis' Superman run to end, so that Geoff can retcon them outright out of existence/explain them away as Manhattan's manipulations in the final four issues of Doomsday Clock.
Heroes in Crisis is a really out of place story considering we've had years building up to an existential "something's off about everything" plot. Say what you will about Metal, it at least thematically lined up with the direction of the DCU at the time compared to HiC being a very mundane "gun violence and mental health" story. Tom King should've been told to scale it back to becoming a small scale Batman story or saved for when the characters aren't dealing with bigger things. Two rumors are floating around:

I wonder how many other stupid tidbits she has out there, just buried by time. These days, most of them at least go through the motions of trying to disguise what they really mean. It is a bit interesting that she was already infected with troon sympathies even in 2012.((("It's okay to chip away at that.")))

Seems the black non-binary lesbian crippled women failed you Gail. But at least you GOT EM dirty white males amirite? BAZINGA BAZINGA!
- Understandable if true, but Geoff needs to bite the bullet and get someone who can stick to a schedule if this is the case. People won't have fond memories of something that doesn't come out.
- That would be fucked up, but this is why when the bigwigs make an event, they need to sit in a room and make a list saying these characters are safe, don't do crazy shit with them until it's over and hand that list out to everybody.

Kerry McCluggage has stepped down as CEO of IDW Media Holdings, Inc. (the parent company of IDW Publishing) just seven months after taking up the position. IDW Board Chairman (and the company's biggest stockholder) Howard Jonas has stepped in to assume the role of CEO.
"We are grateful to Kerry for leading and growing our team during a challenging period," said Jonas. "We wish him well in his new endeavors, and thank him for the dedication and hard work that he put into the company."
While Jonas didn't specify what about the recent period was "challenging," IDW recently informed stockholders that Jonas loaned the company $28 million for "necessary operating costs" for its tv & film division, IDW Entertainment. In March 2018, Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall left the company, followed by Group Editor Sarah Gaydos in April. The company's President/Publisher Greg Goldstein exited the company in December, with Ryall returning to replace him.
McCluggage became associated with IDW in late 2017 when he joined the company's board, and then in July 2018 took over the CEO role after company co-founder Ted Adams took a sabbatical. McCluggage is a longtime television executive who helped launch the UPN Network.
"As both a board member and CEO I have enjoyed helping the company with its current slate of new programming and working with the extremely talented group assembled to execute on these new series," McCluggage said. "I wish the entire IDWM team the best of luck going forward."
