Maybe it comes to close to what D&C use to harp on: that Comics should be an industry selling products and not a club for mutual admiration and lecturing the uncouth outsiders?
Selling comics is RACIST #SuperheroLivesMatter

Maybe they're just annoyed by the blatant false advertising in that tag line. Selling Comics? Come on, Marvel, I've seen your sales numbers...I dont see the problem with this new tagline, any guesses why they think its bad? (I'm genuinely curious)

BingoLike @E. Knee as Weapon - Cont. said, it sounds kinda amateurish, but I think they're taking exception to the mission statement focusing once more on selling comics, this pretty much means that things that don't sell are gonna get cancelled quickly, guess who's writing the shit books that remains unsold?
Oh great another WOKE thread from this person. She always makes long winded threads like this and as usual they don't make much sense outside of her group. Twitter isn't a blog.Bingo

“We want to tell stories not sell comics!” Which is why they hate capitalism.
This type of thing makes me wonder how do kickstarters fail when this shit can surpass their goals.LOL people actually backed this dumb shit? I'm guessing it was mostly white guilt fueling it though.

I mean this is the type of “comic” they think Marvel should produce. A comic about black women and their hair washing ritual.

Who are they? I don't see any connections to comics and it looks like they're a random political sperg.Oh great another WOKE thread from this person. She always makes long winded threads like this and as usual they don't make much sense outside of her group. Twitter isn't a blog.
You asked for it:Who are they? I don't see any connections to comics and it looks like they're a random political sperg.

if you want a better example of the first black superhero movie (that wasnt shit at least) you should pick spawn (1997)...your point being?

The 2017 numbers aren't out yet (to my knowledge), but considering ALL the discounts, 'buy 1, get 1 free' and collection sales strategies the number could be inflated. Hell right now, Comixology has 2 Marvel Promotions. A 'Buy 1, Get 1 Free' and a '.99 sale'. The .99 sale has most of the crap books they always claim are "BestSellers" lol.

I would actually recommend checking the .99 sale if you guys like over 95% discount rates for the Marvel Master Works.
Depends on the context you're asking that question. The TL;DR for this shitstorm is the American comic industry depends on DC/Marvel not collapsing in on themselves and Marvel has become infamous for hiring a bunch of political spergs who'd rather scream about nazis in their cereal than create a product people want.why people care so much about marvel comics?
