Sadly, it seems the gators don't agree. Nassar was crowing about how Ethan 'owned' Taylor. The debate is still going on and I would love for some blow by blows because I felt my testosterone dipping after too much exposure to Mitchell.

I found it pretty boring. It felt like a game of setting traps by getting your opponent to say the wrong thing so you can soundbite it and use it against them later and circular arguments. I do have to admit that Taylor had some good points with Venom sales and Ethan punching down on people. But Ethan really had an opportunity to clobber him big time with when Mother of Monsters and I am Starfire we’re brought up. Those two books signify exactly what is wrong with comics the mainstream likes to promote.
He brought up DC rehiring Bill Willingham. I also caught some of Nassar showing it and he brought up Frank Miller's cancellation involving getting disinvited from a con.

Alright, for you I checked back in. Ethan's now got a full panel and is justifying himself that if he doesn't engage he can't sharpen arguments and deal with them. He says something about mainstream sales being 'good' threw him and he and others agree that has nothing to do with CG.
He's wrong, both he and CG have made the industries declining numbers a major 'own' and justification for striking out on their own.
As for the rest I let Smug or Dongs or perhaps an enterprising, great Kiwi write it up because I just don't have the time to wade through something this thick.
I think that's dangerous ground for Ethan because of his own wonk social liberalism. He doesn't want to delve too deep on why those books are awful.
Besides which, so much of this is down to funny numbers and taking corporate Hollywood money to subsidize American comics. Without that, you couldn't make a living off of the actual business of making comics the mainstream way. He got what he needed, hearing what their pivot talking points will be and refining his own. They're now trying from what I've heard here and elsewhere, to reframe cancel culture entirely as consequence culture and life ending consequences as occasional missed business opportunities.
I think everyone here except our beloved Ryu understands how vile this is. Like calling a concentration camp a fun camp and describing it as some camping with exercise. The scariest part isn't the ease with which they lie. It's that they seem to be able to effortlessly make themselves believe it.

I did. I think it was when Taylor bought up the subject of Ethan calling people fags online. he went on explain why a little later though. Something about him being being angry and it being a heat of the moment sort of thing.
If Taylor is truly mati about that you laugh at his weakness, if he is only seizing on it for virtue points you laugh at his craveness. Either way he is a colossal faggot. Don't apologize to a faggot for calling someone a faggot Frog.

1. I am not an Etsy. Don't associate me with that either Testefy or JDA. Especially Testefy. He permanently lost any support I would conceivably give him when he falsely accused Stu of being a pedophile.
2. D&V have regular streams on Sundays.
3. If you want me to GUESS what's going on, from what I have been told, Vikki savaged JDA so badly in Discord VC that I think JDA had to order an 55 gallon drum of Preparation H when it was all over. Testefy will keep trying to run the "Victoria" gimmick into the ground, because he think's that shit is funny (he is wrong), and Jon is probably still licking his wounds like the gamma male he is.

I enjoy reading Tolkien and the other stories - it is deliberate slow entertainment so it weeds out the dopamine addicts and disordered.

Anyways, the Taylor dude was a bore. He asked the same few questions (mostly "gotchas") that Ethan has been asked and answered a million times before.
I wanted to do an aftermath stream but the debate went long so I just went live during it because I had to sleep to get up early for work.
I already kind of figured before the stream started that the Taylor dude would just try and get a gotcha out of Ethan. Every time Ethan answered something the guy would go "So what?" "WELL AKTHULLY..." "So what you're saying is..."
But at least we know now that Taylor thinks Mariko Tamaki (if I even spelled it right) is fat and ugly.

You appear to be confused. They did have a show on the 12th, where they threw some shade at JDA, but it was copyright claimed by NBC Universal for the Incredible Sulk parody.
It was in voice, and I was not present for it. However, I know several people here were if they wanna chime in.
