Whatever 2 ETH was back the first week of April when I created it? Almost $6,800 in today's imaginary crypto money? I could probably lower it if I could find the login, I honestly haven't even looked at it since.

The original Comicsgate Cecil sketch sold on Ethan Van Sciver's Comicsgate Art Auction in January 2020.
That was an experiment. I had little idea what NFT's even were then, before I learned that NFT's had nothing to do with physical objects. I guess in my mind they were a way to authenticate phyisical objects and I intended to sell that real physical object to anyone dumb enough to buy it? All I remember is that JPG on the blockchain cost me a couple hundred real dollars just to create.
That was the very first Cecil sketch by the way, before he drew and sold several more on the CG art auctions.

Because this is COMICSGate. They should be working on and selling comics. A point made all the more evident by the fact a lot of kuckleheads in CG are way behind on their fulfillment schedules.

That would make sense if Doug was one of those people way behind schedule but Doug prides himself on getting the work he promises done when promised.
If people want to buy arguably worthless NFT's from their favorite creators those creators would be fools not to cash in. Bitching about Doug making decision after decision to expand his bank account just comes across as butthurt and envious.

I agree with Newman's on this - catering to crypto speculators is little different then catering to comic speculators, and Comicsgate has catered to them plenty.
I suppose I could make some jab about how, just like highgrounding about "not wanting to be a youtuber" before running a QAnon grift channel, Doug's highgrounded in the past about "delivering dollar value over milking paypiggies", and it's hard to imagine anything more "milking a paypiggy" then charging a crypto speculator $1000 for a JPEG of a shitty doodle. For that kind of money you could buy physical original comic art.
But for $300,000 I can't even begrudge him or Smiller or Gary Shipman for making that kind of money. For $300,000 I'd happily eat crow over some dumb rhetoric I made on youtube over some e-slapfight two years ago.
That said, I don't really find "just make NFTs" a very compelling or relevant proposal for blacklisted comic creators or for prospective customers who want to buy comics from blacklisted comic creators, a fertile source of tard drama, or an interesting topic of discussion in general.

Believe it or not some people on this thread aren't interested in frequent hyper detailed breakdowns of comparative sales figures and hyper detailed breakdowns of boring live streams by people no one cares about. Don't get me wrong, some people do and they should get what they want but this thread is for both types.
If Testefy wasn't a member here there would be no reason I'd want to hear about his drama with nobodies like Well Read or whoever he's fighting with in the deepest darkest reaches of "who gives a fuck". Despite him being a member here unless something significant happened I don't care to hear about his latest slap fight on a live stream 4 people listened to. There's a difference between breaking down a slap fight between Liam and FROG where epic shit happens and breaking down a slap fight MidnightGift and Testefy's second cousin where literally nothing changes, even for them.

How does one have the balls to stream for 10h and talk about absolutely nothing, while also not drawing a book that should have come out in October of 2019.... i actually remember, a year and a half ago, saying how the book is probably gonna come out in December of 2021, but looks like i was wrong.
