Sure I have. Mark "@Grummz" Kern was one of the few in the games industry who was openly on the pro-gamer side during GamerGate. I wish him the best with his new project, though I didn't care for WoW and the last I checked of his new game it was still just vaporware.
They release new builds monthly. The game is coming along decently but it's still really early days. I like the movement. They've really captured the Firefall style of movement. Even at this early point. So just by virtue of having a monthly updated build it's not vaporware.

This has been interesting, but with yet another player in this community here on the thread it could soon be time to upgrade to "Plagued". The damage control, corrections, self promotion, and stupid nonsense could dominate the thread if they all log on at once. Here is an explanation of the system...

...are we there yet?

Anyhow while you were all debating if the Peggaverse will crossover or be gatekept from the Rippaverse and also several pages of Malt Liquor posts... here's a few things that were overlooked:

Fox Nation host Lara Logan appeared with "SupremeHeretic" Drew Taylor.

She made the headlines late November comparing Fauci to Mengele as documented here:

SupremeHeretic is now part of Rogue Entertainment, Steven Walton/Lodonis/Fandom Menace Historian's fairly new splinter faction. A few familiar faces from the dregs of CG/Fandom Menace/Fandom Collective chillstreams are among their members, channels listed here:

In other news a book that started fulfilment months ago has experienced some setbacks. Earlier this month only 50% of Graded Point Five 's Peregrine: Wings of The Falcon orders had been mailed out. This book is a relic of a bygone era of CG... 2020 when first time creators could make $53K. In the austere days of 2022 a book very similar to this might only make less than $4K and cause the creator to quit the internet forever!

Another delaying factor has been health issues and death in Chief Justice Optimus / Optimus Deadpool / Optipops family. He has revealed his full name to promote a gofundme for his family and he's asked to share it around.

@YoungRippa59 there is a bug on the Kiwi Farms that occasionally makes it impossible to reply to long posts. Tagging you directly because of that.

Please tell me, how is going on livestreams and talking about your prospective product NOT marketing? You are going on a large, public platform and pitching the idea of the “Rippaverse” to viewers, not on the basis of any work you have to show but rather on the premise that you are the one leading the project. I don’t care if you don’t THINK that’s marketing… but that’s marketing.

Also, I don’t particularly care about your intentions, I’m telling you the reality of how all of this actually comes off to someone who really isn’t invested in gay comic book and culture war drama. And this is the reality of the situation:

You are going onto a platform with a large, existing target audience consisting mostly of culture war faggots. You are pitching your new company/product on nothing but the promise that it’ll feature an expansive, interconnected universe, and that the stories will be good, just trust me bro, despite having no known track record in writing or publishing comic books. You make a dumb tweet about the “future” fandom for a project that has shown NOTHING so far (itself a highly presumptive statement - even if you are confident in the quality of your work and genuinely believe that it WILL be popular and successful, publicly stating this when literally nothing from the physical product has been revealed yet just looks bad) along with a politically-charged call to action for said fans (who totally don’t exist, right?) to gatekeep wrongthinkers.

After learning that this project has apparently been in the works and publicly announced since April of last year, I believe you when you say that you weren't intending for a fandom to form around a as-of-yet-nonexistent book. Regardless of that intent, the moment you gave it a name and outlined the kind of person you would like to see be a part of it (e.g, self-proclaimed gatekeepers) you called into being a Rippaverse fandom consisting only of the faggiest culture warriors, who only care about you and what you have to say and are completely content being in this fandom DESPITE you having shown nothing of value so far, because they're just here to own the libs and could care less about the product.

If you have the startup funds 8% is too much to offer a third party.
It is EVS, Malin and YBZ who do the whole thing wrong, not Rippa or Tim Lim
Only if you can competently replace the service that 8% was paying for. People constantly underestimate the cost, effort and risk involved. It's really a credit to IGG and KS that people look at those places and think "Gosh that's so simple! Screw them I'll just do all that myself" only to quickly learn that producing that "simple" digital storefront is harder, more time-consuming and expensive than producing the original product they were trying to sell in the first place.

Either way we'll get some solid data from this experiment that everyone can learn from.

"I keep prodding my excitable audience about my product's release date, also I do no marketing and have no product."

You can tell he's heavily into politics. Anyway, I'm eager to see the adventures of Schrodinger-Man.

comics personality

:optimistic:

Let's wait until the product/not-product shows up.

you are building all the hype for this product around you and your brand without anything to show for the actual product

IMO, this is a problem with a lot of Comicsgate - the appeal for the customers isn't the work itself but the political views of its creator.

the marketing is intentionally antagonistic and the fandom is a bunch of gayass culture warriors

kind of a major red flag that isn't too far off from selling a book on muh diversity.

Funny how comicsgate became the thing it was fighting against, or, always was. Declaring an intention to produce an apolitical book as a counter to the SJWs is a little like the bechdel test: in a way it's impossible because it's ironically defined by the thing it wants to omit. It's the elephant in the room, conspicuous by its absence, living rent free, etc. The effort only really appeals to overpoliticized obsessives too, or personality cultists and isn't enough in itself to satisfy anyone else.

Let's assume that I am aware and don't want to powerlevel, then move along.

Any chum trying to crowdfund their first werewolf viking military superhero comicbook should stick to crowdfunding.
Someone who runs 3-8 campaigns a year that get consistently 5-7 digits and has 3-4 friends who do the same leaves money on the table by not setting up a publishing/fulfillment co-op but this is too much of capitalist talk, CG is in the game of owning the SJWs, not making money.

1. I'm not going on live streams TO talk about my product. I'm going on live streams, being asked about it, and then proceed to talk about it. The only thing on MY side with intent to the Rippaverse, is to update people on the process. This was an inevitable thing considering I did an open call for artist to work on the project which signaled that something tangible was going to come from this. When you do a daily show and are interactive with your audience, people ask about the things you're involved it. That doesn't mean it's an attempt to market.. especially considering that there's nothing to actually route people to purchase and I've not sold anything. Sounds you're just confused on what's taking place here.

2. How you feel or how you think it comes off to you or your colleague, is not the reality. That's your individual perspective, and that's your business.

3. I don't know what you're talking about with the 3rd paragraph. Possibly when you say I'm going on a large existence target audience you're meaning EVS. Now, if you don't like me going on his channel on occasion, that's cool. But I've never went on his channel with the specific intention 'market' the Rippaverse. He just know's it's on the way, we have audiences that have some crossover, and he asks me about any updates. This ordeal stems from, again, you overthinking and conflate people's anticipation with where we're at as a business. And publicly stating what I said about the future fandom looks bad to YOU, and again, that's an opinion you're welcomed to have. There has been no politically-charged call to action. It was a mere request to get bad actors that want to poison the well out.

4. I've stated multiple times that I'll have anybody as a customer who wants to be one. Regardless if they gatekeep or not. I'm talking specifically about the fandom when I referred to gatekeeping.

This odd position of yours seems to reek of dude that's simply bent out of shape because other people are anticipating the company despite me having not put anything out. It doesn't matter what the fuck new venture I'm into, when you have a following and an audience across so many demographics (some people know me for different things).. people are going to be stoked. It's what happens when you've built a rapport with your audience. I get that it's not enough for YOU to support it, but that's YOUR business and changes absolutely nothing to what's taking place.

This is a time sink though. If you have any more questions pertaining to this topic or you want to actually have a live discussion.. email me.. tweet .. or whatever. Or don't.

Be easy.

@YoungRippa59 (reply bug)

Your product is still effectively in the “snake oil” phase.

That’s not to say that it is snake oil itself, it’s just that you’re not marketing it on its own merits, and the more you try to hide any concrete details, while keeping the hype focused on your involvement and nothing else, the less interesting it sounds.

It’s the equivalent of expecting people to get excited for new Star Wars content just because it’s Star Wars, except this time it’s on the other political side.

There's some lack of self-awareness in criticizing a viewer for associating his appearance on a Frog stream with trying to sell something when that's 99.9% of Frog streams for the past couple years. Can anyone name a guest who wasn't there to sell something? It's a literal infomercial.

I'm sure it's been picked up on already but @YoungRippa59 is attempting to gaslight the fuck out of everybody with this "your opinion seems odd" refrain. You can always tell when smart people are lying because they suddenly play dumb just when they need to. All this, before resuming his lolbertarian text wall rebuttals. One might wonder if he's lying because his handlers in the political whorehouses he shuck-and-jives in have put him up to a "politics is downstream from culture" op or if his lies are more complete in that he's also lying to himself. I suppose it could both. After all, he's also deeply embedded in Geeks plus Gamers and FM/FNT network of whorehouses where they too are blowing copious smoke up his ass on the reg (largely for being Awesome While Black). So, while it's easy to throw tomatoes at another clown in a dunking booth I suppose it's currently paying well and with this much positive affirmation, why stop?

No more flim flam. Show your homework or stfu, Sandy. This isn't the "wonderful fancy" of fiction. This is Internet discourse and it is very real.

Special appearance by Kilroy of KILROY WAS HERE, the world's first meme.

I'm really excited and hyped for The Batman which comes out in the next month. You know the major Hollywood motion picture that you haven't seen any trailers for or have any idea what it's about or who's in it... Because why would you market a movie before it's available in cinemas?

Right?

Cat Woman is a nig-nog if that helps.

He sure doesn’t engage as well on the forum format as he does on the streaming fandom grift echo-chamber, that’s for damn sure.

Here's the Tim Pool clip I mentioned a few days ago. Maybe rewind a few minutes for better context but this show is always all over the place.

Even the long-haired village idiot immediately understands how stupid the thing was that he just heard.

EDIT: Tim interrupts early completely missing the point but it only last a few secs so keep watching.

Omg that was stupid as hell. Can't wait for the Ripoffverse. Gatekeepers & Keymasters won't be needed if the writing is as r.etarded as the things said in the clip.

haha they're supposed to be like that. It's a 'me' version of the Mocking Spongebob meme.

Anyway, guys, glad we got all that record set straight and good luck
young-persons-meme.jpg

Is this right Youngster? Did I do it correctly?

I've been reading and rereading this page : https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/mocking-spongebob but I'm still not sure I fully understand. I don't use Twitter and I never got into Spongebob. I saw all the merch and stuff but I just found him too ugly, I felt a mild urge to aesthetically abort him.

But I do have a curious bit of Spongebob comics trivia, which is that Chuck Dixon did Spongebob comics and not only did he do them, he said they were some of his favorite work in comics, because of how off-the-wall they were formally. So I might check those out, because it's Chuck Dixon doing wacky stuff. But I dunno, I don't know anything about Spongebob and I don't like his face, so I might not enjoy it.

That's just me though - I'm an old timer, set in my ways, I much prefer the classic Simpsons references from some of the post writers on here.

Holy cow. Rippa is not good at making a cogent argument when challenged. Helpful hint: Raising your voice doesn't make your position more intelligent.

Tim and one of the others even tried changing the subject quickly more than once to help him avoid coming off as a complete loon, yet he persisted.

It seems as if his premise is that every person shares his ethic. He can't see an incentive to buying up the roads in a city and blocking them off because he would never do such a thing so it just wouldn't happen, As if sociopathic robber barons simply don't exist on his plane of existence. All the laws regulating public/private property were just created one day a long time ago for the sole benefit of The Man when in fact every one of those laws originally came to be as a reaction to actual horrible abuse from socipaths.

I just picked this up for $20! Such a fitting original Ralph. I wish I knew which episode.
