Finally, a drunk Ryzie faced off against a Douglas Ernst account in his chat this morning for 47 minutes of unbroken threats, commentary on Ernst's fighting prowess, his chances in a physical altercation with Ryzie, remarks regarding the Catholic Church's behavior around altar boys and how this reflects on Soulfinder and other, more sinister threats directed Doug's way.

I like how you say "a Douglas Ernst account." Doubtful he'd be that brazen after Tim Lim and Co. helped mop up the fallout from the Hut saga.

Shit's funny just the same though. Knowing Ryzie, he was probably too drunk off of box wine to fully comprehend what the fuck was going on.

Lemme tell you folks, Invincible this ain't. Waid can't figure out if his evil superman is sympathetic or not and flip flops on every other page, there are an endless amount of throwaway characters that do nothing but introduce plot points that go nowhere, and Plutonian is drawn with five fingers so frequently I actually started to wonder if he canonically has five fingers.
Large parts of his characterization are clearly syphoned strait from Waid's endless well of self-pity and the plot relies on so many nonsensical asspulls it feels like a JoJo's fanfic. Characters are upgraded from street-level to reality-buster at the drop of a hat, then killed off pages later.
I did get a chuckle when they introduced a race of insectoid, wasp-like, intergalactic conquerors calledVzz-P'ah. At this point I don't even suspect comic writers of plagiarizing each other, more so that they all go through life with the same ten stale ideas bouncing around in their heads so unintentional overlap is an inevitability.
I dunno...I guess the twist was kinda interesting?

as soon as I saw Mark Waid’s name on it, I passed on it. Maybe he was a good writer early on in his career but, now he is just a hack that recycles other people‘s ideas.

EVS should be stoked that Mark Waid ripped an idea off of him. There is no way that wasn’t intentional.

I'll pass. I think criticism of AM, no matter how well reasoned, would cause some of the weebwarriors to get hyper defensive, and cause a moderation headachche for yourself. Which I don't want to subject you to. I also have to consider AM has given Vic safe harbor when few others would, so that defensiveness would be at least somewhat understandable on an emotional level.

Besides, I already shot my wad concerning John Leigh back in early 2019, when I argued that the evidence of Leigh's misdoings was a hell of a lot more compelling than what exists concerning Vic. @Medicated created a thread in Beauty Parlor on Tyler Willis, that basically slammed her for running Boycott Anime Matsuri (BAM). It's a pretty shit thread. The girls didn't dig it. I said as much, and pointed out Leigh is more deserving of a thread (he's an ostensibly non-gay man that runs a store that sells EGL shit, and that's pretty fucking creepy). At the end of the day, I don't think AM is sustainable in the long term. The stigma surrounding them seemingly forces them into a strategy of "Vic and whatever floor sweepings we can get." Hence, we see people like Cecil, Venti, and Blaise. They're the floor sweepings. Not Vic. They're also "off brand" floor sweepings, at that.

I just think it's retarded, but it's probably (hopefully) harmless. People will either attend, or they won't. It's their money.

As for the absurdity that is the Simpcast panel, I can basically summarize it in one picture.

As much as it pains me to defend Waid, technically Irredemable came out almost a decade before the VyzPzz were introduced in Cyberfrog.

I've put some thought into this and frankly I don't see AI generated art replacing artists anymore than spellcheck replaced editors or AI generated music replaced musicians. Machines, even smart AI, cannot think inductively, they can only deduce. It's not creation so much as distillation. Tech like this will be used to create the background images on LEGO boxes and other other low-value junk. It's a time saving tool.

I ran Ethans picture through an AI and it generated this.

None of those really look like the styles they’re claiming to copy, but i understand where it might confuse people who never looked at Frazetta or Vallejo before. “See it looks painted, that’s the same right?” Well not really - it doesn’t look like how nay of those people drew women.

Addressed on last night's belated SimpCast by G+G/FNT's own XRay Girl who says the quiet part out loud, making clear she actually has zero interest in any of this nerd shit. Awkward silence and then abrupt change of subject ensues. Meanwhile, Brittany Venti reveals she has no idea what its like to not have men trying to fuck her since she seems to believe that men generally tolerate negging from unattractive women and they do it because of their "low emotional intelligence" or something.

Doesn’t FNT/simpcast/etc have their own thread? They aren’t CG, they don’t really have anything to do with CG. They’re bigger than CG has ever been and 99% of the FNT related content in this thread has nothing to do with CG.

Just a defunct Fandom Menace thread as far as I know. I've asked about it a few times and was never advised otherwise. The FM thread is dead/doomed to PG due to a shit OP. I'm sure others in the thread could be more helpful explaining events from before 4 1/2 months ago.
