2023/02/08 - MANDY SUMMERS - LIVE! GOLLUM COURT! IT WANTS THE PRECIOUS!

There have been a lot of accusations thrown the way of Mandy Summers over the past week and rather than just wait until the next comicsgater gets caught up in fudge or shits their pants on camera or something and the herd moves on to the next hot topic, the self-styled Cleopatra of Comicsgate has decided to tackle these allegations head on. And, if one pays close attention to the thumbnail of the video, the discerning viewer may even detect a strain of resentment towards one individual in particular. "Like who?" I hear you, the reader ask. Rest assured we will get into that, And perhaps even, in the immortal words of Ms. Summers, "like what?".

With her largest campaign to date in potential peril due to the titular character (emphasis on 'tit') Gemshock being identical to an existing comic by some publishers that may or may not take legal action over it, the stakes have never been higher on the simpcast mistress's channel. In tow is legendary Marvel Comics artist Dale Keown, no doubt there to lend much needed support in what's sure to be an epic battle. Accordingly, the warm-up "howdies", "hey yalls" and pre-topic small talk is kept to a ten minute segment.

There's been a certain unnamed person, who's name is Vikki, that's been going around talking all sorts of shit. That Mandy engages in sexual blackmail of her employees, that her hick accent is fake, that she's an e-thot, that she's committed blatant criminal IP theft, that her artists are simps that accept her nudes as pay. Lady Mandy Summers ladyishly lays out the situation to her audience - this Vikki character has been "all up my ass lately" and she's had enough. Mandy decides to address the most damning and serious allegation of these first - that she is an e-slut.

Paraphrasing: Is it because she shakes her tits on camera? Vikki posts feet. Does Mandy call VikkiVerse 'a dirty foot whore?' Whether it's tits or feet, Mandy argues, a man on the internet is masturbating and ejaculating to the image. Vikki's hands (or feet in this case) are not clean. Keown takes this last part literally, musing that while he is a man that "appreciates a good foot", they nonetheless "have to be clean." Good to know. Summers chalks the motives here to jealousy on VikkiVerse's part on being unable to shake her tits on the internet for strangers like Mandy.

And so, "The more you bitch about it, the more I fucking shake" proclaims a defiant Summers, who I must say is really giving mixed messages on how her beloved 'sayumps' should feel about Vikki's antagonism. "Yeah!" says Dale Keown, especially embracing his supportive role at this moment. "Lean into it!". Dale follows this by sipping some spaghetti sauce directly from a glass jar that in all likelihood he will be reusing later, if you follow my meaning.

Next on the itinerary of Gollum Court was Pirate Queen, wherein Mandy asserts that crediting Hilinski as creating a "bonus backup origin story" of Pirate Queen sufficiently inferred that Clint and not Mandy was the creator of the character. Not gonna lie, this part was some weak shit; the arguments presented were neither as persuasive nor as attention holding as Mandy's previous ones involving tits, feet and cum. She does however add a screencap of a DM with Hilinski affirming that she did contribute a script to the series. It should also be noted for posterity's sake that the evidence dossier Mandy has prepared her case with a giant 4000x4000 jpg file dotted with emoji and screencaps. Mandy concludes that this is a warmed over failed Warcampaign gayop. This is used to segue into the various dickpic conspiracy theories swirling around the CG Queen.

Mandy argues that a reverse art harem based on penis picture blackmail would simply be unsustainable for a extended period of time - eventually she reasons one of them would snap and go for broke, dick pic or no. But what if she used the initial kompromat to force her victims to generate other, even worse pictures. Stuff involving showers, and vape pens. As for payment in her nudes, the main flaw in that scheme presented by Mandy is she would never do it that eventually the artists will want to paid money to live off of. At least post-climax.

After the Pirate Queen and blackmail allegations, next are the other accusors - Matthew Fowler and Liam. Mandy refuses to focus on Liam out of pity, while Matthew Fowler is sort of inferred to be an ingrate and will no longer being welcome on her show.

Last but not least is the matter of Gemshock. Mandy maintains that the accusations swirling around Gemshock and the TIdalWave character Jailbait are nothing but 'conspiracy theory' and that the chain of creation went Mandy > Keown > Yoon. She does concede a series of "unfortunate coincidences" about the matter, namely a) the identical look of the character, b) her regular creative partnership with a former employee of the other publisher who c) is a notorious tracer, do paint an ugly picture. All that being said, she will be taking Frog's advice and recoloring the character. Given that this is an industry that recognizes the legal difference between Overkill and Overtkill, that should be enough. Even without a potential legal threat, there is no way she would want to market a product that has anything to do with anything named "Jailbait", finding the term disgusting. With that, Mandy opens the floor to cross-examination from her chat.

Mandy's chat asks how big her areolas are (kind of small actually), and sends her some $5 superchats, after which some lovebugs get thanked. "They all jealous" Mandy closes with. Court is adjourned.

I have dipped in and out of here over the years, mostly making fun of Preston and EVS..and of course War Campaign.

How the fuck [in current year] did Dale Keown get into this mess??

How can this nobody afford his time and attention? How is this an optimal career choice? Is it seriously just the tits?

It wasn't really out of the ordinary in language or harshness from any other thing I've tweeted or spoken on this topic, but it was a reply to someone else's tweet, so perhaps they reported me. I don't know.

I wish I hadn't deleted it.

But the issue for me wasn't deleting a year old tweet. It would have been the start of Patreon investigating my social media for more things they didn't approve of. The Patreon money definitely helps pay some bills, but I can't have them looking over my shoulder.

If that's not true, and they simply neglected to include Viz sales altogether, then the chart is actually underreporting how far ahead manga is.


They can try aping the art style, but I don't really think that's the issue. Not everybody likes the anime/manga style.

I think where they're really falling down is the writing. Too much pandering. Too much playing things safe. It's atrocious.

They've been doing this since the 00s. CB was literally cosplaying as Japanese in order to sell Marvel Manga.

There was a line at Marvel, it had Mary Jane (slice of life girl comics/actually pretty good stuff from what I remember). An amazing series of Power Pack drawn by Gurihiru who may have gotten there start. And Amerimutt animu work by people like Adam Warren.

It was pretty good stuff, sold meh, and stopped being a thing. Later got CB jammed up for faking being Jap.

DC something too, I think Amy reeder and some others. It didn't amount to anything.

In typical Marvel/DC fashion they came along a decade late, Antarctic and Dark Horse were heavily going in on Amerimutt Animu in the 90s.

The problem is people have anime and manga. They don't need a bunch of wiggers trying to copy it. American Comics has things they used to do very well. They need to smash the institutional barriers preventing all creatives who aren't from the right groups to ascend and to eliminate the incentives for creators not to produce sequential artwork that enabled decades of the top artists not only in the States but in the West outside of Asia to slack and not work.

Dale Keown's been Comicsgate for a while now, though he seems to be only interested in doing the minimal amount of covers necessary to stay alive (maybe not even that) and streaming with Mandy Summers. No one's about to tell him what to do though, though things came to a head last September when his inaugural CG drunkstream got written by Rich Johnston. And me, I guess. Since then he's been only 80% as drunk as he was before.

It seems Dale Keown was a very vulnerable sad old man and the racemixing ex-stripper came along at just the right time to exploit him.

So far as I can make out, Dave sought approval for an 'approved by the comicsgate community' logo for the cover of his vomit-inducing Chris-Hartalike he-shehemoth fetish book. EVS, who has apparently consumed enough pizzas and donuts in his basement to qualify as a community, granted his seal of approval before he realised what the theme or the cover art represented, and this is his reaction at the grand unveiling. Pardon me while I take a five minute LMAO break...

I don't see any comicsgate related logo on that cover. Poor Daves dreams crushed before realization. Well, one of his dreams. It looks as if he has plenty of dreams that can contribute to his sweaty consolation.

Also, what is it about this oversized woman 'coomic' that draws Frogs ire, when Damegang inspired his glowing approval? Perhaps he might be forthcoming in this thread. In any case I think that's my 'I agree with Ethan' token used up for this month. Let's hope Preston stays quiet until March.

Dave Tomassi sounds like one of those faintly familiar names that floats by every so often but is never notable enough to remember for too long. Until now. What kind of things has he done in the past?

Well well, it appears Ethan is now forced to gatekeep in order to protect "muh brand."

Slumtown creators like creating controversial coomer style comics. Will Ethan cut loose the dead weight and tell the slums to go fuck themselves and make their own movement while All Caps and other approved ex pros and hanger ons get green lit to be CG?

Ethan's approval is now the criteria to have your creation be considered comicsgate. And we all know that criteria doesn't include talent because if it did, Narwal wouldn't exist.

The really crazy part is why all these perverts do comics. Are comics so linked to perverts that it's a common thing? All the Von whoeverthefuck comics are perverted as well. I guess when Shannon "Babycakes" Davis, the sad little furry, is a King, the poo has already been touched.
