Malin's graveyard shift 5 is at $86k with one day left.

Shane, Malin and Ethan did a stream on Malin's channel yesterday devoted entirely to Shane's INGLORIOUS REX second chance campaign.

Its like they have forgotten that Graveyard Shift 5 even exists.

Honestly the parallel economy is not a sustainable model. Eventually you should aspire to get into the mainstream. You just have to be smart enough to not give away the rights. It took tmnt 26 years before they cashed out to nick.
At present, the "parallel economy" is merely the indie entertainment sphere. Take note though, there is no way to "become the mainstream" without selling your soul and leaving any ideals that would change things for the better, at the door. You can check any of the Friendtubers in FNT's channel circle: A few months ago Disney's hiring practices were released and it basically said: "No white, straight, Christian men" (big surprise right?).
That leaves movements like Comicsgate and Iron Age for anyone seeking "new ideas" (ha!), and thus here we find ourselves.
The Leftist hivemind doesn't require a Whisper Network, it merely needs a target to be identified, after that point the hive will attack the target indefinitely. Sound familiar? This is what any person seeking to market a product outside of "cut your dick off" faces when they step out to do so.
I don't blame people for supporting Eric, CG, Iron Age, FNT, etc. there is no sincere alternative at the moment. Perhaps after the election some action might happen, but most sane and alert people are expecting a civil war at that time.

Edit: If you would like to try your luck, IDW is hiring. They are in need of a remote Editorial Assistant. It pays $51k a year and entails being in the guts of IDW's book production on titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Star Trek.

Please note that a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism holder is their top preferred candidate, not someone with a degree in fields related to creative thinking.
Good luck, you brave adventurer!

For who? I as a customer of comics have more choices than any one in history. FFS I have comics shops selling 20 year old long boxes at a discount, I have eBay, all the indie websites , even woke Disney marvel if i so chose?

Creators have it great too unless maybe you align yourself with a hat movement with an Eccentric frog, who shoe horns public opinion against movement and your tied to that man yeah as a creator you may be a bit fucked. and rightully fucked because in a free market people vote with there wallets, all that rubbish you just typed is autistic as fuck.

So you didn't read my post and had a kneejerk reaction, I said "anyone seeking new ideas" none of what you listed as a source of entertainment qualifies. You listed old comics in a shop or on ebay, and you listed Disney. Indie sites? Like Webtoons that uses small creators to drive traffic to mainstream products on their website?
Honestly, if you're creating something, and you don't have a platform the size of Eric July's or a network like CG or Iron Age, there is no way forward.
A creator can take 17 years and build up the way EJ did, or they can become part of a network like CG. You like to fantasize that people who joined in 2018 were hungry for gayops and dick sucking, but what brough the first and second wave in was the success of having 100s of creators working together toward the common goal of creating a new comics market.

Maybe the free Market is telling you that you need to get a real job friend......

Getting Real Liam vibes from your cope . . . I wanted to be a NFL player, turned out I couldn't make money doing it, so now I trade stocks. You adapt and move on. Still play Football just don't get paid for it .... life ain't fair.

Or, perhaps the West's economy relies on a trusted face to sell things, much like the Japanese economy requires someone of authority to introduce a new concept or product. Why oh why would we buy a can of Pepsi of not for the Kardashians stopping police brutality with a single sip?
Thus you either build yourself up to be that trusted face, or you work inside of a network that exchanges votes of confidence.

Edit: Because the gentleman above me likes to come back and add more "spice" after a reply has been made.
I get real "I want you to be this person no matter if it's true or not" vibes from you. How obvious do I need to be with my screen name and avatar?

This new Youtube policy could be a real problem for EVS and the other wannabe shockjock-streamers. Last time I tuned in half his show was "parody" videos plastering other people's faces on other people's bodies in videos saying and doing embarrassing things to damage them in the name of parody and fair-use.

At minimum this creates a new exploit to flag streams.

I read about an Austrian painter who had a similar problem. His solution is in the history books.

that's when Ethan will show up at the Rippaverse warehouse... with a 9mm
The Tony Soprano LARP has gone too far.
it's just a grift, not really selling a comic book worth reading
Quality aside his books are equivalent to four floppies apiece and he releases on a consistent schedule, you can't really call it a grift when he's clearly putting the work in to get shit made and actually fulfilling his orders.

The very medium they're working with isn't in the mainstream and hasn't been for the last 20 years, the best they can do is create an alternative publishing house and spread awareness through word of mouth and somehow Eric July managed to be the only person to actually figure that out and follow through on it whereas the CG crowd tries to court an ever diminishing pool of crowdfunding money despite the fact that they're not actually making anything.

That's actually not an unreasonable policy, and I am surprised it wasn't implemented sooner. It's worth noting you are required to lable you deep fakes as such on KF.

I think you might be overstating its impact in EVS's case though. It really comes down to how realistic the stuff he's making is. You'd have to post examples. If it's the usual Warcampaign-era cartoonish crap, he's probably fine.

I think there's a blanket labeling policy for anything AI whether its meant to confuse or not. Like this:

Yeah. But it’s nice to have a woman in Comicsgate that hasn’t uploaded nudes or fan fiction of Werewolves grooming little girls. I’ve hung out with her a few times over the last month on different streams. She’s always very polite/vanilla. Like hanging out with my religious sister that suddenly has comic book questions cause she saw Iron Man and loved it.
What's the deal with Finity, is he rebranding?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=HYYhNxJ0q7AEric July now a reaching Donald Trump levels of boogeyman.
How pozzed are your youtube recommendations? Where do you even find these people?

So let's see. According to Martin, Snowman was ready in August...but EVS announced needing more buyers to print Snowman back in October 2023. Meaning, the book is completely done.

Now, AlphaCore came out in Nov/Dec. Yaira will be this/next month. Followed by Goodyng, Horseman, Bloodruth (later in the year), probably Isom 3/Yaira 2, and who knows what else?

So how many comics does anyone think will get released in the time it takes for EVS to actually have the books printed to finally mail out? So far, he's at two.

At this rate, I'm thinking Horseman (so four). But part of me also thinks this year is being too optimistic and it won't actually get released until 2025. Maybe right after Superkiller comes out.
